The summit will be held Wednesday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in Montezuma Hall at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.
The summit will showcase sustainability efforts across SDSU, including research, curriculum, campus operations and student-led initiatives. This year’s theme is Waste Less. Feed More, ., highlighting SDSU’s commitment to strengthening food security while reducing food waste as a powerful strategy for climate action. Please join us as we collaborate, share solutions, and accelerate impact toward a more sustainable and equitable future.

The event is open to all so invite friends and family. However, ONLY FOLKS WHO RSVP WILL BE ADMITTED. Only graduates who RSVP and attend from 5-7pm will be recognized. We will have a strict sign-in system so please RSVP in advance. Also, FIRM RSVPs only. Since we are ordering food, etc., please only sign up if you can commit to attending.
FOR GRADUATES: All graduates who attend the event from 5-7pm can get an SDSU APIDA Center grad cord and charm (see picture below)! In order to get the cord, you need to commit to the following:
-Attend the APIDA Celebration and stay from 5-7pm; remember this is a time to celebrate yourself and others. Let's be in community together!
-Complete this Google RSVP form (bit.ly/APIDAGrad2026) in its entirety by 5pm on Monday, May 4.
-Additional Criteria: You must be a December 2025, May 2026, or August 2026 graduate; you must have officially applied for graduation. Your graduation status will be verified.
Note: The APIDA Excellence Celebration does not replace the official SDSU commencement ceremony. We do not give out actual diplomas. But, we do give out cords, high-fives, and hugs.
