Guerrilla Girls, an anonymous group of intersectional feminist artists, will share their experience in disrupting norms and drawing attention to inequity within the art world through their eye-catching and provocative visual installations. Their book Guerrilla Girls: The Art of Behaving Badly depicts hundreds of their projects from 1985 and onward, and has achieved national acclaim as one of the best art books of 2020 by The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. This event, open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members, is made possible by the One SDSU Community, Presidential Global Democracy Fund, Campus Program Funding Committee, Art History Club, and the Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

This event will feature an inspiring keynote address by Nalleli Cobo, a renowned activist who led a successful campaign to shut down a toxic oil-drilling site in Los Angeles a few years ago—an effort she championed at just 19 years old after experiencing severe health impacts firsthand.
