2026 APIDA Excellence Celebration
The SDSU Office of AANAPISI Affairs & APIDA Center is hosting our sixth annual APIDA Excellence Celebration (Graduation and End-of-Year Party) on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 5-9pm. There will be cake, food, dancing, fun activity booths, karaoke, and more! We will be celebrating our December 2025, May 2026, and August 2026 graduates! We will be honoring our SDSU undergraduate and graduate students. We will also be celebrating the end of year so come one, come all!
The event is open to all so invite friends and family. However, ONLY FOLKS WHO RSVP WILL BE ADMITTED. Only graduates who RSVP and attend from 5-7pm will be recognized. We will have a strict sign-in system so please RSVP in advance. Also, FIRM RSVPs only. Since we are ordering food, etc., please only sign up if you can commit to attending.
FOR GRADUATES: All graduates who attend the event from 5-7pm can get an SDSU APIDA Center grad cord and charm (see picture below)! In order to get the cord, you need to commit to the following:
-Attend the APIDA Celebration and stay from 5-7pm; remember this is a time to celebrate yourself and others. Let's be in community together!
-Complete this Google RSVP form (bit.ly/APIDAGrad2026) in its entirety by 5pm on Monday, May 4.
-Additional Criteria: You must be a December 2025, May 2026, or August 2026 graduate; you must have officially applied for graduation. Your graduation status will be verified.
Note: The APIDA Excellence Celebration does not replace the official SDSU commencement ceremony. We do not give out actual diplomas. But, we do give out cords, high-fives, and hugs.
Let this be a joyous time to celebrate your achievements and the end of the academic year! We are so proud of you and can't wait to celebrate with you. YAY!!!
