I. CALL TO ORDER

A.S. Vice President of University Affairs, Trinity Dang, called the meeting to order at 3:43 p.m.

II. ROLL CALL

It was moved and seconded to approve the previous minutes from February 19th 2025.

James Mcowtta gave a public comment regarding the proposed new student housing, he advocated for reliable housing and amenities such as a pool or hot tub.

    It was moved and seconded to change the specific wording to “maintain”.

IX. EXECUTIVE REPORTS

  1. Trinity Dang, Vice President of University Affairs: April 4-10th is the Your Voice Matters push week and there are various events being planned. April 7th will be the College Council Open house event.
  2. Kat Hernandez, President: No report.
  3. Tajuddin Henry, Executive Vice President: No report.
  4. Derrick Herrera, Vice President of External Relations: No report.
  5. Vincent Lin, Vice President of Financial Affairs: No report.
  6. Christina Brown, Executive Director: No report.
  7. Nora Novak, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report.
  8. Nicholas Felix, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report.
  9. Mohammed Erekat, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report.
  10. College of Arts and Letters: Hosting a College of Arts and Letters career fair on April 17th. Introducing a new recognized student organization (Sociology club). Opened College of Arts and Letters executive elections which will close in mid-April.
  11. College of Business: In the last College of Business Council meeting they discussed the ongoing issue of students not picking up their textbooks from the bookstore due to the DayOne ready program, the council discussed alternative solutions.
  12. College of Education: College of Education hosted a career fair on March 18th with positive turnout. A.S. representatives are meeting with the Liberal Studies University Senate committee in April.
  13. College of Engineering: No report.
  14. College of Health and Human Services: March 24-26th is the College of Health and Human Services career week, there are various events being hosted throughout the week aimed at Health and Human Service careers (resume workshop, County of San Diego Health and Human Services career fair, alumni career networking event, talking to professionals event, etc.).
  15. College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts: Hosted a successful alumni panel and currently in the process of planning the PSFA Showcase as their next event.
  16. College of Sciences: A.S. Representative was present at the Undergraduate University Senate committee meeting where there was an inquiry from a member regarding the All Deans council meeting. Holding an upcoming Healthcare Panel in collaboration with the College of Health and Human Services on April 10th. Hoping to plan a collaborative event with the College of Engineering Student Council on a STEM networking event. 
  17. Graduate Student Association: Met with the undocumented resource center on March 17th. Trying to create a questionnaire for graduate students about housing needs to access the advocacy graduate students need as San Diego State continues to discuss the housing crisis.
  18. Undeclared College Council: None
