A.S. Vice President of University Affairs Trinity Dang called the meeting to order at 3:32 p.m.

VI. PRESENTATIONS AND UNIVERSITY REPORTS

    1. Dr. Taharka Ade, University Senate Designee, reported on the following: Advocated for the University Senate and open committee roles.
    2. Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Diversity Designee: None.
    3. Palni Bhatt, A.S. Chief of Staff, presented on the following: She discussed the role of the University Senate, its committees, and the impact of student voice. SDSU University Senate consists of student major constituencies in which weigh in on an array of policy decisions. Senate members represent all areas of campus life and thus focus on issues related to student welfare. 

VII. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION

VII. INTRODUCTION OF NEW LEGISLATIVE MATTERS

None.

IX. REPORTS OF UNIVERSITY COUNCIL MEMBERS

  1. College of Sciences: Discussed point system regarding funding and pushing for more funds through council involvement. They also discussed a Graduate Career Services Fair and Your Voice Matters push-week. Currently, they are planning a career-oriented event for STEM majors and striving for panel discussions with their college.
  2. College of Education: Hosted Dance Marathon walkaround and approved the College of Education budget for this year.
  3. Graduate Student Association: Graduate students attended a University Senate meeting and approved an SDSU Police Bylaw.
  4. SDSU Imperial Valley: Swore in their Vice President of Finance and announced a co sponsorship with an all-majors career internship fair.
