I.  CALL TO ORDER

A.S. Vice President of University Affairs, Jennifer Schenkenfelder, called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m.

II.  ROLL CALL

  1. University Senate Designee: None.
  2. University Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Diversity Designee: Christine Molina reported on the following:
    1. Provided an update regarding advising, enrollment and the transition to the my.sdsu platform.

VIII.  INTRODUCTION OF NEW LEGISLATIVE MATTERS - None.

IX.  REPORTS OF UNIVERSITY COUNCIL MEMBERS

  1. Jennifer Schenkenfelder, Vice President of University Affairs:  College Councils and Campus Community Commission are collaborating on Sunday, 3/20, for a Good Neighbor Clean Up at noon.  Will be attending a Dean’s meeting with Ashley.  Working with the library in terms of finals programming.  
  2. Ashley Tejada, President:  A.S. posted statements regarding Native and Indigenous communities and regarding the conduct of Professor Corlett.  
  3. Karina Esteban, Executive Vice President: GreenFest concert is on April 8.  All A.S. leaders are able to get a ticket to see Gunna.  Explore SDSU is on April 9.  A.S. will be tabling during the event.  Please sign up.  Aztec Achievement Awards are on April 21.  Save the date!  Check out the Instagram page of the LatinX Student Union.  
  4. Shawki Moore, Vice President of External Relations: Will be hosting a collaborative event on 3/23 in Templo Mayor.  Rock the Vote events to come in April to promote the June primary, titled “Power to the People”.  We will have Sundaes and Social Media on 4/12 and Bobas and Ballots on 4/26.
  5. Austin Barber, Vice President of Financial Affairs:  There are additional unallocated funds.  Working on spring budget updates.  
  6. Christina Brown, Executive Director: There is an open practice day for the NCAA Basketball tournament at the Viejas Arena this Thursday.  The SDSU game will be playing inside the Aztec Lanes.  Vote next week on the SDSU WebPortal.  The election results announcement will be held in the Courtyard on Thursday, 3/24.  Pizza will be served at 8:00 p.m.  A.S. appointed applications are due on Tuesday, 4/5 .  
  7. Beth Bridges, ASBOD Student-At-Large:  Calpulli Center is hiring six new therapists.  If you are interested in peer education, please contact me.  
  8. Alexia Oduro, ASBOD Student-At-Large: Provided an update regarding Campus Fee Advisory Committee (CFAC) and the ATS fee that was voted “no” as a recommendation to President de la Torre.
  9. Margot Ermer, ASBOD Student-At-Large:  No report.
  10. College of Arts and Letters (CAL) Council:  Created a CAL discord.  Working on an advising event and are collaborating with other college councils.
  11. Fowler College of Business Council: CBC Social is this week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.   Working on the Business Achievement Awards. Women in Business had a successful event.  Working on write-in candidate outreach for the Business seats.
  12. College of Education Student Council:  No report.
  13. College of Engineering Student Council: Coffee with the Deans is coming up.  Planning the executive board elections process.
  14. College of Health and Human Services Student Council (CHHSCC):  Kaelan reported as a resource that Dr. Loh-Hagan is leading a search for Asian American Studies faculty members.  CHHSCC had a great food bank event and raised 14K pounds of food.  Working on a ’finals de-stressing’ event.
  15. College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts (PSFA) Student Council:  SDSU Career Services is attending their meeting and we are planning the Academic Achievement Awards.
  16. College of Sciences Student Council (CSSC):  Learned a lot about hiring faculty within the department.  The faculty networking event went really well.  Submitted recommendations to the CSSC bylaw charters.  
  17. Graduate Student Association (GSA): No report. 
  18. Undeclared College Council (UCC): Will be holding a Declaring Major workshop on 3/23 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
