I.  CALL TO ORDER

A.S. Vice President of University Affairs, Crystal Sanchez, called the meeting to order at 4:42 p.m. via Zoom.

V. PUBLIC COMMENT: None.

VI.  UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS

  1. University Senate Designee, Dr. Nola Butler-Byrd:

    1.  On behalf of the Senate officers, I would like to thank the Associated Students  student leaders who spoke at the University Senate meeting yesterday and for  

      your voice regarding spring break. The vote was 44-28-7. We apologize for not  admitting everyone yesterday and will be sure that this will not happen again.  

      We support Associated Students to speak truth to power and to continue to fight  for needs on behalf of the student body. 

      2. Also at the Senate meeting, the Mission Statement revision item was tabled due  to the focus on spring break.  

  2. University Vice President for Student Affairs Designee, Dean Randy Timm - No report.

  2. General Consent Report (Information): The General Consent Report was reviewed. C. Recommendation to the University regarding SDSU Spring Break 2021 (Action): Christian Holt shared a position statement draft letter from Associated Students regarding  spring break to San Diego State University President Adela de la Torre. Crystal opened  the floor for comments and suggestions.

    It was moved and seconded that the to submit the position statement, as attached, to  A.S. Board of Directors for approval as the official Associated Students statement.
