VII. UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS
- Career Services Presentation – Dr. James Tarbox, Director and Juliana Todesco, Career Opportunities Manager (Time Certain 3:45 pm): Presented on resources, workshops, on-campus jobs, and future initiatives at SDSU Career Services.
- University Senate Designee, Dr. Cezar Ornatowski: None.
- University Vice President for Student Affairs Designee, Dr. Andrea Dooley:
- Encouraged students to participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE).
- “Single Servings” will allow students to engage with counselors outside of a counseling setting. There will a series in February, March, and April.
- Meningitis B Vaccination clinics will take place February 20 in Tula Hall, February 27 in the Courtyard, March 5 on the ENS Field, and March 21 in the Tula Hall.

It was moved and seconded to approve the General Consent Agenda.
DAGGS/POWELL CARRIED - General Consent Report (Information): The general consent report was reviewed via electronic copy. For further reference please request a printed copy of the General Consent Report copy from the Government Secretary.
IX. INTRODUCTION OF NEW LEGISLATIVE MATTERS

X. REPORTS OF UNIVERSITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
- Ronnie Cravens, Vice President of University Affairs:
- Working on “Clash of the Colleges” event.
- “Your Voice Matters” and Mental Health Week will collaborate for a panel event.
- University Affairs Board will meet Friday at 11 am.
- Will visit boards, councils, and commissions to ask for ideas for the “Your Voice Matters” campaign.
- Chris Thomas, President:
- Gave an update on Aztec Shops. Plant Power will be replacing The Den. Halal Shack will be on-campus in place of Dickey’s. Everbowl is now open in South Campus Plaza.
- There are 12 candidates remaining for the Provost Search.
- Elections applications are now open. Online forms may be requested. Applications are due February 21 at 4:30 pm in the A.S. office.
- Will begin forming transition documents at the next University Council meeting to create a holistic transition.
- Nickolas Wohlman, Executive Vice President: No report.
- Michael Wiafe, Vice President of External Relations:
- Met with Assemblymember Shirley Weber regarding parking issues.
- Will attend California State Student Association (CSSA) this weekend at San Francisco State University (SFSU).
- Gave an update on Title IX changes.
- Received 26 applications for California Higher Education Student Summit (CHESS). Interviews will begin this week.
- He will attend the Junior Summer Institute program in Carnegie Mellon this summer!
- Christian Onwuka, Vice President of Financial Affairs:
- Met with Dr. J. Luke Wood about high school conferences funding.
- Will finalize scripts on A.S. Funding.
- Will serve on the Mission Valley Subcommittee.
- Christina Brown, Executive Director:
- Encouraged members to visit the GSA office on the 2nd floor of the student union.
- Gave a budget presentation to President Adela de la Torre and an overview of Associated Students and the programs and services we offer.
- Tomi Osinfolarin, ASBOD Student-at-Large:
- The deadline to apply to the Aztec Mentor Program is February 22.
- The deadline to apply for the “Quest for the Best” is February 18.
- There will be events with the Aztec Unity Project.
- Met with Mercedes Riggs, Aztecs’ Director of Player Development, to improve attendance at the Women’s Basketball Senior Night.
- Congratulations to Tomi on his acceptance to the Doctor of Chiropractor program at the Southern California University!
- Latrel Powell, ASBOD Student-at-Large:
- Excited for Mental Health Week! Encouraged members to practice self-care.
- Will attend CSSA at SFSU this weekend.
- Applications for Mortar Board are due this Friday at 4 pm.
- Warsan Artan, ASBOD Student-at-Large:
- Gave an update on the ARC women-only pilot program. Met with Mark Zarkweski, Director of Recreation, to discuss other options.
- College of Arts and Letters:
- Will look for a Student of the Month.
- Will plan a cultural event.
- Encouraged members to attend the “Blackness Behind the Scenes” in the Center for Intercultural Relations today at 5 pm.
- Mental Health Week is coming up!
- College of Business:
- Congratulations to Evan Atkins, the new College of Business representative!
- PSFA’s Expo was a success.
- There is now a full executive board on the College of Business Council.
- Reminded members to look up the list of companies, dress professionally, and bring several resumes when attending the career fair tomorrow.
- College of Education:
- Will interview candidates for the College of Education Representative.
- The symposium will be March 6 from 3:30-6:30 pm in Templo Mayor.
- College of Engineering:
- Will work on a cross-college event.
- “Hack-a-thon” will take place March 9. The deadline to apply is February 22.
- Applications for College of Engineering Outstanding Engineering stoles are open.
- Engineering week is next week! There will be an event next Monday from 3-5 pm in Aztec Lanes.
- Coffee with the Dean will take place next Tuesday.
- College of Health and Human Services:
- Preparing for events this semester.
- College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts:
- The Expo was a success!
- “The Star Return: an Evening with PSFA” will take place on Monday at 6 pm in Montezuma Hall.
- College of Sciences:
- “Discover Your Dream” event will take place March 6 from 4-6 pm. Will collaborate with the College of Health and Human Services, Business, and Engineering.
- There will be an A.S. Information Session given during 6 pm by College of Sciences Representatives.
- Graduate Student Association:
- There will be two representatives from GSA attending University Council meetings.
- There will be an Undergraduate Student Panel event on March 12 from 12-1 pm in the Theatre.
- Coffee with GSA leaders will take place March 5 from 11 am – 1 pm at the GSA office in Student Life and Leadership.
- Undeclared College:
- Congratulations to Jon on declaring Business as his major!
- There will be a panel event with a representative from each college. The event will take place on February 26 at 4:30 pm in Pride Suite.
- Congratulations to Lucas Roth as the co-historian!
