I. CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Scarlett Walker called the meeting to order at 8:01 a.m.

  5. Guests Present: None.

III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA

It was moved and seconded to approve today’s agenda.

It was moved and seconded to approve the previous minutes of 9/25/25.

VI. CHAIR’S REPORT:

  1. SDSU Family Weekend is this weekend - have a great time with your families.
  2. Reminder to review and submit your recommendations for the A.S. Study Abroad Scholarships - Read through applications to help determine who gets A.S. scholarships to study abroad. Due this coming Monday, October 6, 2025 at noon.
  3. The first requirement is due tomorrow (tabling). Hopefully all the Council members will submit them.

  1. JAC Roles Updates
    a. Requirements - Scarlett reviewed the tracker that Andrea/Olivia created for requirements with the Council.
    b. Elections Committee - None
    c. Awards Committee - None

B. Buddy Updates
a. What have you done to get in touch with buddies this week?
i. Olivia Van Winkle - sent out the email
ii. Dom - reviewed communication to Jackson Patterson about his REAF and ISP
iii. Olivia A. - send them the submission form
iv. Frances - sent out an email reminder
v. Grace - sent out an email reminder 

C. University Senate Committee Update
- Student Grievance Committee (Scarlett): Next meeting is next week. 
- Liberal Studies Committee (Olivia VW): The next meeting is next week and they only meet once a semester.

VIII. INFORMATION

  1. Individualized Substitution Plan (ISP)
    Reviewed the three ISP requests from Jamie Quach (Recreation and Wellness), Jesus Guzman (PSFA) and Arwen Handel (Green Love).

Frances reviewed the attendance. 

IX. ACTION

  1. Individualized Substitution Plan (ISP)
    1. It was moved and seconded to approve Jamie Quach’s ISP for the following recommendation of the JAC:

    Communicate with the Recreation and Wellness Commissioner about what occurs at CLC biweekly. 
    Once minutes are sent out for the latest CLC meeting, Jamie will have until Friday of the week after CLC occurs to send a summary of the meeting she missed and add in if there’s any way Recreation and Wellness can support anything reported out on by other council members.This report will be sent to the Chair- EVP Milan.

It was moved and seconded to approve the appointments and resignations memo for 10/2/25, as attached.

C. Request for Excused Absences (REAFs)
1. Jackson Patterson - It was moved and seconded to table Jackson’s REAF indefinitely (8/27 All Council) due to REAF being an ISP.

2. Myah Moreno - It was moved and seconded to table Myah’s REAF (8/27 All Council).

3. Jamie Quach - It was moved and seconded to table Jamie’s REAF indefinitely due to ISP approval.
