I. CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Scarlett Walker called the meeting to order at 8:02 a.m.

II. ROLL CALL

It was moved and seconded to approve today’s agenda.

VI. CHAIR’S REPORT:

Send out messages to buddies about requirements.
A.S. Study Abroad Scholarships - Read through applications to help determine who gets A.S. scholarships to study abroad. Due October 6, 2025 at noon.
Vacancy Ad-Hoc for Elections Coordinator - The A.S. Elections Coordinator chairs the A.S. Elections Committee, which is a committee under the JAC. Next week, we will appoint/select a Justice to sit on the Vacancy Ad-Hoc Committee.

JAC Roles Updates
a. Requirements - Eight students (out of approximately 50) have submitted their requirements. Send out reminders this week to buddies saying to complete one requirement by the first deadline.
b. Elections - None
c. Awards - None

B. Buddy Updates

What have you done to get in touch with buddies this week?
i. Scarlett - Everyone sent out a message.
ii. Frances - a buddy reached out from Sustainability Committee and they want to know if they can implement new requirements for Green Love co-chairs (tabling and be actively involved in Green Love meetings).
iii. Scarlett - please send a message to buddies by end of today.

C. University Senate Committee Update
- Student Grievance Committee (Scarlett): Scarlett will be nominated for Vice Chair next week. The next meeting is 10/9/25. If you are interested in joining SGC, please submit the interest form.
- Liberal Studies Committee (Olivia VW): None

VIII. INFORMATION

Individualized Substitution Plan (ISP)
1. Jesus Guzman - Reviewed with the information received from Jesus.
2. Jamie Quach - Pending— more information requested.
3. Arwen Handel - Reviewed and Scarlett will reach out to Arwen to ask the above questions.

5. Frances reviewed the attendance. Dominic will reach out to Jackson Patterson and Myah Moreno.

- Reminder to sign up for the A.S. University Leaders Reception at the University House on Wednesday, October 8 at 5:30 p.m. A reminder email will be sent on Tuesday next week.
- If you know anyone interested in applying for the Elections Coordinator, please have them apply via the A.S. Get Involved webpage like Scarlett mentioned.
