I. CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Shaye Phung called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m

II. ROLL CALL

III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 

It was moved and seconded to approve today’s agenda.

Sam Ramtin thanked the committee for their participation and support of the A.S. Elections.

VI. CHAIRS REPORTS 

  1. Please reach out to your buddies this week regarding submitting requirements. Requirements are due on April 16th.
  2. Thank you for all that you do! Please remember to take care of yourselves during this busy time.
  3. Special JAC meeting will be held this Friday, 4/11, at 3pm
  4. Form for A.S. Appointment applications closes on 4/13. If you, or anyone you know is interested, please share this deadline.
  5. Sign-ups for tabling for SDSU Explore are open, as well as tabling opportunities for Your Voice Matters Push Week (this week).

VII. MEMBER REPORTS

  1. JAC Role Updates 
  1. Requirements - Janice reported on behalf of Lorena:

i. 8 submissions were received. Please remind your buddies.

b. Elections - Grace reported on the following: 

i. No official Election Committee meeting took place on 3/27 due to the Vote-A-Pollooza event.

ii. Elections results event went smoothly, though items still remain in the process including approving final results and expenditure forms at this week’s, 4/10, meeting.
c. Awards - Shalena reported on the following:
i. The Awards Committee reviewed the nominations and rank nominations by this Friday, April 11.
ii. Video to be played at Aztec Achievement Awards was also discussed and worked on.

B. Buddy Updates 
a. None. 

C. University Senate Committee Update

  1. Scarlett reported that there is a hearing coming up on the Student Grievance Committee.
  2. Shaye updated the council that presentations were being held for the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs positions, scheduled April 9-18. In-person and Zoom options available.

VIII. INFORMATION 

  1. Attendance - Scarlett reviewed the attendance.
  2. Presentations re: Proposed Amendments to the A.S. Charters (Information) 
  1. #BA S25-1 Marketing & Communications Committee (Time Certain 5:35 p.m.)
    Shruti Sharma, A.S. Marketing & Communications Commissioner, presented the proposed amendment to the MarComm charter. JAC will vote on the amendments at the next meeting and the final approval will occur at the A.S. Board of Directors meeting.
