I. CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Jordan Valdez called the meeting to order at 11:05 a.m. (PT).

II. ROLL CALL

III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 

It was moved and seconded to approve today’s agenda.

IV. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES 

It was moved and seconded to approve the previous minutes of 3/10/23.

V. PUBLIC COMMENT:

VI. CHAIR'S REPORT:

Jordan reminded the Justices to remind their buddies to complete their tabling.  Requirements are due on April 12.

VII. MEMBERS REPORT

  1. Chike reported on the Awards Committee meeting and chaired the meeting for Meena.  Aztec Achievement Awards planning is going well.

  2. Rebecca reported that at the last Election Committee meeting, they reviewed next steps in the elections process including the announcement of elections results.  

VIII. INFORMATION 

  1. Attendance:  The attendance was reviewed by Jordan.  Justices will reach out to some of the members who have been missing meetings.  
  2. Proposed Amendments to Bylaws, Codes, and Charters
    Jordan reviewed the proposed amendments to the College of Engineering Student Council, College of Arts and Letters Council, and the Commuter Student Board charter.  He assigned sections of the CAL Council’s proposed amendments.

IX. ACTION 

  1. Appointments & Resignations
    It was moved and seconded to approve the appointments and resignations for 3/17/23. ALBANDAR/HERRERA     CARRIED (6-0-0)
  2. Requests for Excused Absences (REAFS)
    It was moved and seconded to approve the REAFs from the old REAF form.
