Chief Justice Jordan Valdez called the meeting to order at 11:04 a.m. (PT).

A. Attendance
The attendance will be reviewed at the next meeting.

B. A.S. Employment/Student Leader Pilot Process
Jordan announced that at the A.S. Board of Directors meeting this summer, a pilot program was introduced and approved to allow A.S. leaders to work for A.S. departments as long as there is not a perceived conflict of interest.

IX. ACTION

A. Deadline for Requirements
It was moved and seconded to approve Thursday, November 17, at 11:59 p.m. to submit tabling, RSO, and the cultural requirements for all A.S. Leaders.

B. Individualized Substitution Plans (ISPs)
Jordan re-reviewed the requests for three A.S. leaders, Nick Ables, Malia Preisendorf, and Leanne Locano, regarding not being able to attend CLC or UC due to class. He provided an update from Leanne who clarified more about her ISP.  Jordan will reach out to Leanne, Nick and Malia again for further information prior to approval.

C. Appointments and Resignations
It was moved and seconded to approve the appointments and resignations for 9/9/22.

It was moved and seconded to approve Ethan’s REAF for missing the A.S. fall retreat.

It was moved and seconded to approve Tyler’s REAF for missing the A.S. fall retreat.

X. ANNOUNCEMENTS

A. Good luck to Chike and Derrick on their exam!
B. It is Hispanic Heritage Month!
C. California Native Day is on Friday, 9/23.  Please visit the Native Resource Center from 12-2 p.m.
D. Hawaiian History Month will be celebrated by the Pacific Islander Student Association on Wednesday, September 28 from 3-4:30 p.m.  More details to come soon!
