I.  CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Grace de Vega called the meeting to order at 10:04 a.m. (PDT).

II.  ROLL CALL

III.  APPROVAL OF AGENDA

It was moved and seconded to approve today’s agenda.

IV.  APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes of 10/15/21.

V.  PUBLIC COMMENT: None.

VI.  CHAIR'S REPORT

  1. Provided an update on Leanne Locano and her UC requirement to sit on a University Senate Committee.
  2. The Elections Coordinator position is open until today.  Spread the word!

VII.  MEMBER REPORTS

  1. There is a vacancy in the College of Business as the A.S. University Council Representative.

VIII.  INFORMATION

  1. Aztec Rocks Hunger (ARH) Presentation
    Austin provided a presentation on the annual Aztecs Rock Hunger campaign that is going now until November 14.   Donate today!
  2. Attendance
    Lindsey reviewed the attendance.
  3. Requirements Overview - Oct 22 Deadline
    The deadline for Council member requirements is today.  There are a few council members that have asked for an extension to attend a cultural event next week.  We will review them in depth next week.
  4. JAC Role Assignments
    JAC role assignments have been postponed to next week due to Zenas and Jasmyne not present.

IX.  ACTION

  1. JAC Bylaw Amendments: Requirements
    It was moved and seconded to approve the bylaw changes regarding requirements for all four Councils (ASBOD, ASCLC, ASUC, and ASJAC) and regarding ASJAC’s jurisdiction.

  2. Appointments and Resignations
    It was moved and seconded to approve the appointments and resignations memo for 10/22/21.

  3. Individualized Substitution Plans (ISPs) 
    There is no action scheduled for ISPs.  Grace reviewed updates on Jacq, Lauren and Kailey’s ISPs.  
  4. Requests for Excused Absences (REAFs)
    1. It was moved and seconded to approve Fabiola Moreno’s REAF for missing the 9/29 ASCLC meeting.

X.  ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. The Pumpkin Drop from the College of Engineering Council is this coming Tuesday, 10/26 from 12-3 p.m. in the Union Courtyard.
  2. Save the date for an End of the Year event at Adela de la Torre’s house: Monday, November 29, 2-4 p.m. 
  3. SDSU Symphony Orchestra & SDSU Wind Symphony will be playing at Balboa Park on November 4.  
  4. Thursday, 10/28 is the Asian Pacific Student Alliance (APSA) Night Market from 3-8 p.m.
  5. SDSU Ambassadors are recruiting!
  6. Donate to Aztecs Rock Hunger!
  7. College of Engineering Graduate Fair is on November 9, from 12-4 p.m.
