I.  CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Grace de Vega called the meeting to order at 10:04 a.m. (PDT).

II.  ROLL CALL

III.  APPROVAL OF AGENDA

It was moved and seconded to approve today’s agenda.

IV.  APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes of 9/24/21 with the correction that Requests for Excused Absences was tabled last week.

VI.  CHAIR'S REPORT

  1. Welcome Zenas, Jordan and Rebecca!
  2. The A.S. Elections Coordinator position is open and it closes on October 22, 2021. 
  3. The Vacancy Ad-Hoc Committee will meet next week to fill the Campus Community Commissioner.    

VII.  MEMBER REPORTS: None.

VIII.  INFORMATION

  1. Attendance
    Lindsey reviewed the attendance.
  2. Individualized Substitution Plans (ISPs)
    Grace reviewed the six ISPs that were submitted by A.S. Leaders. Cassie and Angelo’s are completed.  They will act on ISPs next week for Jacq and Lauren and review Kailey and Margot’s further.
  3. JAC Bylaw Amendments
    Grace reviewed the bylaw amendments process for boards, committees, commissions and Councils and discussed with members about requirements.
  4. Newsletter Debrief
    With Jasmyne absent, this item is postponed until the next meeting.

IX.  ACTION

  1. Appointments and Resignations
    It was moved and seconded to approve the appointments and resignations memo for 10/8/21.

  2. Requests for Excused Absences (REAFs)
    It was moved and seconded to table the approvals for REAFs to the next meeting due to time constraints.
