I.  CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Grace de Vega called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m. (PDT).

II.  ROLL CALL

VI.  CHAIR'S REPORT

  1. Good luck with midterms! 
  2. ASJAC Ad-Hoc Committee will be meeting next week to fill the Recreation & Wellness Commissioner and three Justices.

VIII.  INFORMATION

  1. University Senate Committee Presentation - Kole Wellenstein, A.S. Shared Governance Assistant (Time Certain 10:15 a.m.)
    Kole presented on the importance of shared governance and the various opportunities to sit on a University Senate Committee to represent the student voice in these spaces.

     

  2. Attendance
    Lindsey reviewed the attendance.

     

  3. JAC Bylaw Amendments
    Grace reviewed the overall process of bylaw amendment changes. Particularly for the Judicial Affairs Council, Grace would like the Council to review a possible change in the sections of all three Councils in terms of member responsibilities, tabling requirements, and Elections Code, based on last spring.  

IX.  ACTION

  1. Bi-Weekly Newsletter Approval
    It was moved and seconded to approve the bi-weekly JAC newsletter.

  2. Individualized Substitution Plans (ISPs)
    It was moved and seconded to approve Cassie Ira’s (HHS) ISP to conduct office hours and walkarounds; contingent that she is able to attend the rest of the UC meeting after class.

  3. Appointments and Resignations
    It was moved and seconded to approve the Appointments and Resignations memo of 9/24/21.
