I.  CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Grace de Vega called the meeting to order at 10:01 a.m. (PDT).

II.  ROLL CALL

It was moved and seconded to approve today’s agenda.

V.  CHAIR'S REPORT

  1. Grace led an icebreaker.

VI.  MEMBER REPORTS

  1. Jasmyne reported that there are upcoming cultural events for the Educational Opportunity Program and Ethnic Affairs on 9/16, Delta Upsilon Chapter on 9/11, and the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Resource Center on 9/21.  Working on a newsletter to send out every other week with events and requirement reminders.

    Lindsey reviewed the attendance.

     

  2. Individualized Substitution Plans (ISPs)
    Grace reviewed the initial ISP requests from Jacqueline Banal, Angelo Gozon, Cassie Ira, and Lauren Samidi and provided more information after communicating with them.

VIII.  ACTION

  1. Selection of A.S. Justice on ASJAC Ad-Hoc Vacancy Committee
    It was moved and seconded to approve Trent Moca as the primary and Lindsey Nguyen as the secondary on the ASJAC Ad-Hoc Vacancy Committee.

    1. It was moved and seconded to approve Kailey Quezada (Education) REAF for missing 8/25 All-Council.

    3. It was moved and second to reconsider Yasmine’s initial REAF for missing 8/25 All Council and all future Wednesday meetings.

    4. It was moved and seconded to table the decision on Yasmine’s REAF until an Individual Substitution Plan (ISP) request is submitted.

IX.  ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Grace announced that there will be a Gubernatorial Recall Election on 9/14 with a poll site at the Viejas Arena.
  2. Trent announced that the University Senate resolution failed at yesterday's Senate meeting. 
  3. Jasmyne announced that the SDSU National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) College Chapter is meeting today at 3:30 p.m. in the Visionary Suite.  Please come!
