I. CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Diego Ramirez called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. (PST).

II. ROLL CALL

Diego reported write-in applications are available. Good luck on all the upcoming exams.

VII. MEMBER REPORTS

  1. Guan reported that the Elections Committee met last night and selected the ballot order virtually.

VIII. INFORMATION

  1. Attendance:
    Trent reviewed the attendance sheet.
  2. Individualized Substitution Plans (ISP):
    Diego reported that due to consistent attendance at the meetings, one previously submitted request would not classify as an ISP request, and instead if they are absent, it can be submitted as a Request for Excused Absence.  
    The additional ISP request was discussed.  Diego will reach out to the College Council President and provide an update next week.

X. ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Darren announced the San Diego County expanded vaccination roll-out to all education faculty, staff and students.  Educate about the vaccine!
  2. Darren announced that San Diego County has a COVID-19  Emergency Rental Assistance Program.  Please spread the word.
  3. Grace announced that there will be a Special Election for the 79th District Assembly Member seat due to Shirley Weber being appointed as the California Secretary of State.  The primary election is April 6 and the Special Election is on June 8. 
  4. Grace announced that the FCC just approved an emergency broadband benefit, which provides eligible low-income households with up to a $50 per month credit on their internet bills through their provider until the end of the pandemic.  
  5. Reminder that the Aztec Achievement Award applications are due on Monday, March 1.
