I. CALL TO ORDER

Kimberly Alli called the meeting to order at 7:54 am in Council Chambers at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union. 

II. ROLL CALL

1. Voting Members Present: Kimberly Alli, Angelica Espinoza, Erick Ramirez, Daraja Carrol, Cynthia Medina, Michael Wiafe.
2. Voting Members Absent: None
3. Non-Voting Members Present: Jennifer Esquivel-Parker.
4. Non-Voting Members Absent: Lee Mintz.
5. Visitors Present: Chloe Mouw, Tanesha Moore.

III. MODIFICATIONS OF AGENDA

It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda, as amended.

MEDINA/ESPINOZA

It was moved to add Chloe Mouw’s Last Chance Alternative as an Action Item. There were no objections.

The agenda was approved as amended.

IV. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was moved and seconded to approve the previous minutes.

V. PUBLIC COMMENT

VI. CHAIR’S REPORT

Kim will send out an email to all council members with updates.

VII. INFORMATION

1. Attendance: Angelica heard from Charlotte and Sabrina regarding their upcoming absence. Judicial Affairs Council will request Karthik to come into the next JAC meeting to discuss his attendance.
2. Elections Code: Jennifer gave an update on a new proposal elections system. She will schedule a full presentation in the coming weeks.
3. Last Chance Alternative Updates: There are five people who have turned in their reports regularly. Kim will meet with the four who have not turned in their reports. 

VIII. ACTION

1. Chloe Mouw’s Last Chance Alternative:
   1. It was moved and seconded to approve the last chance alternative for Chloe Mouw as attached, with the addition of attending a meeting every week with a College of Education Recognized Student Organization. She will turn in a report by the Tuesdays before University Council meetings.

      It was moved and seconded to add two reprimands.
      CARROL/RAMIREZ   CARRIED, (5-0-0)
      Chloe Mouw’s Last Chance Alternative was approved as amended.
2. Mary Staka’s Last Chance Alternative:
   1. It was moved and seconded to approve the last chance alternative for Mary Staka. She will meet bi-weekly with health promotions. She will turn in a report by the Tuesdays before Campus Life Council meetings.
      CARROL/ESPINOZA  CARRIED, (5-0-0) 
3. Appointments and Resignations:
   1. It was moved and seconded to approve Appointments and Resignations, as attached.
      WIAFE/ESPINOZA    CARRIED, (5-0-0)
4. Requests for Excused Absences:
   1. It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from Nubia Milpas Martinez for missing Campus Life Council meeting on 10/11/17.
      MEDINA/CARROL     FAILED, (0-5-0) 
      All other request for excused absences were postponed to next week.
5. Recruitment Requirements: Postponed to next week.

IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS

1. The All Council Training will be on November 8 at 5 pm.
2. The A.S. Barbeque is this Thursday at 6 pm in the Student Union.
