I. CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Brenna Culliton called the meeting to order at 8:36 AM in Council Chambers at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.

II. ROLL CALL

  3. Non-Voting Members Present: Jennifer Esquivel-Parker.

  5. Visitors Present: Kemi Giwa, Christy Samarkos, Patricia Cue, Cathie Atkins, Abby Hudson, Julie Wong.

III. MODIFICATION OF AGENDA:

It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda.

IV. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES:

It was moved and seconded to approve the previous minutes of 3/14/16, as attached.

VI. CHAIR’S REPORT:

Brenna informed everyone that study abroad packets are ready to be picked up and are due on April 8. JAC will be meeting on Wednesday 3/23 at 9:30 to approve elections results.

VII. INFORMATION:

  1. Attendance Charts: The attendance chart was reviewed.
  2. Senate Review Discussion (Time Certain 9:00am): The Senate Review Committee spoke to and asked JAC questions about A.S.

VIII. ACTION:

  1. Appointments and Resignations: It was moved and seconded to approve the Appointments and Resignations memo, as attached.

  2. Requests for Excused Absences: It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from David Ellman for missing the Judicial Affairs Council meeting on 3/14/2016, as attached.

    It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from Jamie Miller for missing the Campus Life Council meeting on 3/16/2016, as attached.
    ALEMI/O’BRIEN FAILED, (0-4-0)

    It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from Arnelle Sambile for missing the Campus Life Council meeting on 3/16/16, as attached.

  3. Elections Committee Minutes: None.
  4. Awards Committee Minutes: None.
  5. Selection of JAC Reps. for Appointment and Review Committee: The selection of JAC reps. is postponed until April 4 meeting.
