I. CALL TO ORDER

Chair Brenna Culliton called the meeting to order at 8:36 AM in Council Chambers at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.

II. ROLL CALL

  2. Voting Members Absent: None.
  3. Non-Voting Members Present: Jennifer Esquivel-Parker.
  4. Non-Voting Members Absent: Lee Mintz.
  5. Visitors Present: Robert Ibarra, Paul Sullivan, Lewis Collazo.

III. MODIFICATION OF AGENDA:

It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda.

IV. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES:

It was moved and seconded to approve the previous minutes of 2/01/16, as attached.

VI. CHAIR’S REPORT:

Brenna will send update on duties sheets and bylaw amendment deadline to members.

VII. INFORMATION:

  1. Attendance Charts: Jordan reviewed the attendance chart and updated how the duties will be recorded.

VIII. ACTION:

  1. Appointments and Resignations: It was moved and seconded to approve the Appointments and Resignations memo, as attached.
    SENSION/MERCADO
    Devin Busck was added as a representative on the Student Media Advisory Committee.
    The memo was approved as amended.
  2. Requests for Excused Absences:
    1. It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from Arnelle Sambile for leaving early at the Campus Life Council meeting on 2/03/16, as attached.

    2. It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from Itzelt Santos for leaving early at the Campus Life Council meeting on 2/03/16, as attached.

    3. It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from Ana Morino for missing the University Council meeting on 1/27/16, as attached.

  3. Elections Committee Minutes: It was moved and seconded to approve the Elections Committee minutes for 2/05/2016, as attached.

  4. Last Chance Alternatives: The Last Chance Alternatives requests are postponed until next week.
  5. Hearings:
    1. Paul Sullivan: It was moved and seconded to assign Paul Sullivan attendance at one student organization meeting he is not affiliated with, with proof of attendance paperwork turned in by February 29 at 4pm, in addition to his spring duties and if not completed by established date, it will lead to removal from his position.
      ALEMI/ELLMAN CARRIED, (6-0-0)
    2. Lewis Collazo: It was moved and seconded to assign Lewis Collazo attendance at one multicultural event, and one student organization meeting he is not affiliated with, with proof of attendance paperwork turned in by February 29 at 4pm, in addition to his spring duties and if not completed by established date, it will lead to removal from his position.
