Monday, November 9, 2015 – 7:30 AM

I. CALL TO ORDER

Brenna Culliton called the meeting to order at 7:35 AM in Council Chambers at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.

II. ROLL CALL

1. Voting Members Present: Brenna Culliton, CJ O’Brien (left early), Jordan Maharaj, Mustafa Alemi (late), Abel Mercado, Chloe Sension (late), David Ellman.
2. Voting Members Absent: None.
3. Non-Voting Members Present: Jennifer Esquivel-Parker.
4. Non-Voting Members Absent: Lee Mintz.
5. Visitors Present: Sergio Cisneros.

III. MODIFICATION OF AGENDA:

It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda.

It was moved to remove Information Item B. Spring Meeting Schedule and to add #BA F15-13 ASUB Charter, as Information Item C11.

The agenda was approved as amended

IV. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES:

It was moved and seconded to approve the previous minutes of 11/2/15, as attached.

VI. CHAIR’S REPORT:

Brenna asked everyone to come to next week’s meeting with ideas about whether JAC will continue to meet Monday mornings at maybe at 8 am or 9 am.

2. #BA F15-02 Section 91: It was moved and seconded to approve the proposed amendments, as revised in #BA F15-02 Section 91 of the Bylaws.

3. Appointments and Resignations: It was moved and seconded to approve the appointment and resignation memo, as attached.

4. Requests for Excused Absences: It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from Arnelle Sambile for missing the Campus Life Council meeting on 10/14/15, as attached.

   It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from Pablo Tinoco for missing the University Council meeting on 11/4/2015, as attached.

   It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from Lewis Collazo for missing the University Council meeting on 10/26/2015, as attached.

5. Service on the Elections Committee: It was moved and seconded to appoint Chloe and Abel to the Elections Committee as the JAC representatives.

IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

1. Every single day of this month, the Cold Stone on El Cajon Blvd. will donate proceeds to Aztec Dance Marathon.
2. Aztecs Rock Hunger ends this Sunday. Please donate by the deadline.
3. Congratulations to Brenna for making it to homecoming court. Cheer her on this Saturday at the game!
