Executive Vice President Tajuddin Henry called the meeting to order at 3:37 p.m.

VI. UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS
- SDSU Vice President of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity Designee: Spring Internship Career Fair 2/27. Sophomore lottery for housing will be opening up mid march, encouraging students to look out for an email regarding dates. Black Research Symposium and 7th Birthday of the Black Resource Center 2/28.
- SDSU Black Serving Institution Designation - Dr. Tonika Green, Associate Vice President For Campus Community Affairs (3:40 p.m. time certain): Funding for campuses to become Black Serving Institution. Black Excellence Task Force focuses on alumni engagement, black expos throughout the nation, and Gus and Emma Thompson Black Resource Center. BSI status action plan involves a 5 year detailed plan through recruitment, funding, and resources. BSI status is recently available to SDSU due to a recent Senate bill that allows for California schools to achieve the status. CLC members are encouraged to join Black Excellence Task Force, conduct allyship/DEI training, and advocacy for students.

- Tajuddin Henry, Executive Vice President, reported on the following: Academic Partnership Agreement is currently conducted in the University Affairs Board. Attended Social Mobility Symposium in San Marcos and enjoyed it. Announced Aztec Achievement Awards theme on 5/1/25 of “Seize the Day”. Opportunity for committee members to table at freshman housing to table. Working on homecoming and tailgating reflection to set goals for next academic year.
- Aliza Siddiqui, ASBOD Student-At-Large, reported on the following: No report.
- Kareen Holstrom, ASBOD Student-At-Large, reported on the following: Offered support to all committee members for assistance if needed.
- Janine Ezomo, ASBOD Student-At-Large, reported on the following: No report.
- Aztec Student Union Board reported on the following: Feedback from events and advertising reflection to set spring semester goals. Sip and Paint event planning process for Greenfest week of events. Looking at charter and guidelines and name change for Aztec Pride Chair name change.
- Community Service Commission reported on the following: Good neighbor cleanup on 3/2/25. Added new special projects leader position. Campus safety meeting in near future 3//1/25 at 3:30 p.m.
- Student Support Commission reported on the following: Your Voice Matters Campaign collaboration for potential student rights of protests information session. Adapted athletics showcare 3/14/25. Event blueprint workshop during commission meeting.
- Campus Community Commission reported on the following: Community service survey pushed out 3/27/25. Volunteer coordinator resigned recently.
- Recreation and Wellness Commission reported on the following: Currently planning Mending Minds week 3/10-3/13. Applications to become a fitness buddy through the Aztec Recreation app are now open.
- Student Diversity Commission reported on the following: Conducting a retention and outreach reflection for commission. Addressed concerns on political conversations during meetings from voting members. Native Resource Center graduate student support group has been recently made. Project Rebound Student Alliance has made a volunteering opportunities spreadsheet for those who are interested. The Undocumented Resource Center expresses concerns about funding depleting from 2012.
- Green Love/Sustainability Commission reported on the following: Greenfest elements of change event 3/5/2025 3-6 p.m.. Spirit competition for RSOs’ during Greenfest opportunity to win a shoutout. Sustainability course designation and sustainability learning outcome projects through University Senate committees. Imperial Valley campus lacks healthy produce, working with Aztec Shops to mitigate issues.
- Campus Life Council Student-at-Large reported on the following: No report.
- Marketing and Communications Commission reported on the following: Rebranding Explore SDSU presentation. Monthly minute rebrand for social media posts. Encouraged Vote-a-palooza for AS elections.
- Caryl Montero-Adams, Assistant Dean of Students, reported on the following: No report.
- Kat Hernandez, A.S. President: Spring Leaders Mixer RSVP form is open, encourages voting members to complete it. Working on Slack initiative, will go live next year due to complications. Evolve housing project presentation during University Council upcoming.
- Vincent Lin, A.S. Vice President of Financial Affairs: SPF and travel fund is getting allocated currently. Cultural organization funding presentation project to increase access.
- Derrick Herrera, A.S. Vice President of External Relations: California Higher Education Student Summit is upcoming and working on talking to senate and assembly members.
- Trinity Dang, A.S. Vice President of University Relations: Your Voice Matters submission regarding anti-aboriton complaint is not a violation of time, place, manner. Resource fair 3/18 from 11-1 p.m. in the Student Union Courtyard. College Council Open House 4/7/25 for executive officer positions within college councils. Academic Partnership Agreement first read in UAB, more updates to come soon. Council college morale trivia bowl planning for university council members.
IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Taj announced Aztec Scholarships and Middle Class Scholarships are opening soon. Student Research Symposium 2/27/25.
- Kareen announced there is a decrease and delay in disbursement for scholarships through the financial aid office
- Julia announced encouragement to participate in the RFO spirit competition.
- Trinity announced information meeting for Rotaract from 6-7 p.m. in the pride suite on 2/27/2025.
- Jasmine announced Ramadan starts on 3/1/125
- Mike announced community service fair 2/27/25
- Shefali announced CPR certification opportunity through Women in Healthcare club
- Austin announced everyone should come to the community service fair
