I. CALL TO ORDER

A.S. President, Shawki Moore, called the meeting to order at 3:38 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.

VI. UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS

  1. SDSU Vice President of Student Affairs Designee, Dr. Aneisha Mitchell: Aztec Scholarships opened on Monday and will remain open until 8/25, there will be an early action deadline of 4/28. April 13-20 will be Take Back the Week in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness month, there will be various programming throughout the week.  April 14-15 there will be a Native Art Symposium in Montezuma Hall. 
    Explore SDSU this weekend.

VIII. REPORTS OF CAMPUS LIFE COUNCIL MEMBERS 

  1. Meena Alexander, Executive Vice President: No report. 
  2. Shawki Moore, President: On 4/19 there will be an end of the year celebration at the University House and there will be food and time to celebrate all the great work this year. On 4/27 the Aztec Achievement Awards will be presented. The A.S. The Board of Directors is working on a letter to the University President regarding the passing of the Out of State and International Student Fee. 
  3. Robson Winter, Vice President of External Relations: No report.
  4. Sophia Koch, Vice President of Financial Affairs: No report. 
  5. Sandy Mekany, Vice President of University Affairs: No report. 
  6. Mayah Taylor, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report. 
  7. Bianca Shaw, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report. 
  8. Ava Grell, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report. 
  9. Christina Brown, Executive Director: No report. 
  10. Aztec Student Union Board (ASUB): Tonight at 6 p.m. there will be the Wizarding World of SDSU event in the Union courtyard. Next Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Montezuma Hall will be the Sip n’ Paint event.
  11. Community Service Commission (CSC): Volunteer opportunity on 4/22 from 1-3:30 at Father Joe’s Village. 
  12. Campus Community Commission (CCC): Currently working on transition guides. Final Good Neighbor Clean Up will be on Sunday in collaboration with the SDSU Football team. 
  13. Recreation and Wellness Commission: No report. 
  14. Student Diversity Commission (SDC): Appointment for the new SDC commissioner will be next Wednesday. The SDC Climate Survey has been sent out and it is extremely important that all A.S. leaders fill it out. 
  15. Student Support Commission (SSC): SSC is continuing to work on the spring swipe share program.
  16. Green Love/Sustainability Commission: Next Wednesday will be the GreenLove Swap Shop. New commissioner has been elected and it will be Antonella. Next Tuesday there will be the ‘SDSU Sustainability and Action President’s Update”, which is an extremely important event to attend. 
  17. Campus Life Council Student-at-Large, Tarek Morsy: No report. 
  18. Campus Life Council Student-at-Large, Nick Ables: No report. 
  19. Marketing and Communications Commission: Elections and GreenFest spirit carting has completed. The new marketing and Communications commissioner will be elected soon, this will be the commission's next big event. 

IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Noah Hakim stressed the importance of the climate survey that has been sent out to ensure all A.S. leaders are representing the multicultural student body appropriately.  
  2. Raul Leon also encouraged everyone to attend the SDSU Sustainability and Action President's Update event, on Tuesday.
