I. CALL TO ORDER
A.S. Executive Vice President, Meena Alexander, called the meeting to order at 3:34 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.
II. ROLL CALL

V. PUBLIC COMMENT
-
- Noah Hakim and Faid Jaafar gave a public comment regarding the fundraiser they are promoting to help with aid in Turkey and Syria following the devastating earthquake this past week.
VI. UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS
- SDSU Vice President of Student Affairs Designee, Dr. Aneisha Mitchell:
1. Dr. Aniesha Mitchell thanked Noah and Faid for mentioning and assisting with aid after the earthquake in Turkey and Syria and she also informed the council that the school is also working to offer support to students affected.
2. Tomorrow is day two of the Career and Internship fair. It will be taking place in Montezuma Hall.
3. It is currently Black History month and the BRC is hosting multiple events, the event calendar is on the BRC website as well as Instagram.
4. Dr. J. Luke Wood will be returning back to academic faculty so Student Affairs and Campus Diversity will be looking to fill his position.

VIII. REPORTS OF CAMPUS LIFE COUNCIL MEMBERS
- Meena Alexander, Executive Vice President:
- Meena gave a representation on Black History Month which included a basic overview to provide information on the history, importance, and impact Black History Month has.
- Meena reviewed the various Aztec Achievement Awards and
encouraged members to nominate students they know once the
application opens.
- Join Mending Minds, they meet every Friday at 2:30 p.m. - Shawki Moore, President:
- During the next All Council on 2/22 Campus Fee Advisory Committee (CFAC) will be present to review the proposed out of state and international student fee.
- The first University Senate meeting of the year took place.
-Shawki wants to get to know council members on a deeper level and
encourages them to get lunch with him. - Robson Winter, Vice President of External Relations:
- Social media is working on marketing elections.
- California Higher Education Student Summit (CHESS) applications closed on Monday and they received a lot of applicants. - Sophia Koch, Vice President of Financial Affairs:
- The Financial Affairs Committee (FAC) is attending budget presentations and meetings are happening on site where the budget is from, the next meeting on Monday will be at the Children's Center.
- Sophia and Shawki are working closely with CFAC on the proposed out of state and international fee. - Sandy Mekany, Vice President of University Affairs:
- This semester for Your Voice Matters there will be no official push week but they will be working on social media promotions, tabling and a possible event. - Mayah Taylor, ASBOD Student-At-Large:
- Mayah attended the Title IX meeting and she said it was a great start to the discussion around issues on this campus surrounding Title IX. - Bianca Shaw, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report.
- Ava Grell, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report.
- Christina Brown, Executive Director:
- Election season is approaching and the applications to run for an elected position are still open until 2/17.
- If anyone is curious about studying abroad A.S. offers a scholarship to help fund study abroad expenses. - Aztec Student Union Board (ASUB):
- ASUB recently had a Get the Scoop event where they focused on recruiting new members for this year as well as next year. - Community Service Commission (CSC):
- Members are progressing with planning their individually assigned events and now CSC is in the process of planning a community service fair that will include tabling from various organizations. - Campus Community Commission (CCC):
- Push week for Campus Safety Week is coming up where they will promote various things like the SDSU Safe App.
- The Coffee with Chief Murphy will be on March 8 or March 10. - Recreation and Wellness Commission:
- There is a new campaign for students who have not activated their ARC account where if they do and bring a friend then they get free Shake Smart.
- So far 23,200 members have been activated
- The Recreation and Wellness commission will be assisting with Mending Minds. - Student Diversity Commission (SDC):
- SDC has received official approval for the Greenfest tabling event they have been planning. It will be a gallery walk of sustainable processes around the world. - Student Support Commission (SSC):
- The Commuter Student board is looking for new members, they meet on Thursdays every week.
-There will be a food pantry feedback survey coming soon.
- SSC will be doing a tour of the basic needs center. - Green Love/Sustainability Commission:
- Green Love is working to highlight the damage caused by the earthquake to keep the advocacy and fundraising going.
- The next Green Lunch bag series will be Heart2Heart.
- There are still five spots on the Imperial Valley trip and Lily encouraged everyone to reach out to her if they are interested. - Campus Life Council Student-at-Large, Tarek Morsy:
- FAC took a new council member picture to update the website. - Campus Life Council Student-at-Large, Nick Ables:
- Nick has been working with the out of state students on their advocacy regarding the proposed out of state and international student fee. - Marketing and Communications Commission:
- Working to support A.S. elections through social media.
IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Tarek: Started his own Dance Marathon team where they are competing against other teams to raise money for Rady’s Children's Hospital.
- Raul: There are research opportunities in engineering and water conservation in Brazil and it is fully funded and paid.
X. ADJOURNMENT
