I. CALL TO ORDER
A.S. Executive Vice President, Meena Alexander, called the meeting to order at 3:32 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.
II. ROLL CALL

III. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
It was motioned to amend the agenda to include the Recreation and Wellness presentation.

VI. UNIVERISTY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS
- SDSU Vice President of Student Affairs Designee - No report
- Recreation and Wellness Commission Presentation
Lauren Samidi and Phillip Bury gave a presentation about what the Recreation and Wellness Commission accomplishes throughout the year as well as long term and short term goals. - Student Diversity Commission (SDC) Presentation
Noah and Alexis presented on the mission, goals, and potential ideas for the Student Diversity Commission.

VIII. REPORTS OF CAMPUS LIFE COUNCIL MEMBERS
- Meena Alexander, Executive Vice President:
1. Monday was the first Your Mental Health Matters meeting.
2. Meena gave a reminder to commission members to complete the requirements for ASJAC.
3. Meena also gave a brief overview of the schedule for meetings for the next three weeks since it is going to be busy with Thanksgiving break approaching. - Shawki Moore, President: No report.
- Robson Winter, Vice President of External Relations:
1. Rock the Vote was able to register over 500 California resident students.
2. Robson recently attended the CSU Association Committee where the committee is working to sponsor policy about academic requirements in terms of financial aid.
3. While attending the Fix Financial Aid Coalition in Sacramento, CA where the conversation was focused on expanding accessibility past the standard four years and also working to improve the transfer pathway. - Sophia Koch, Vice President of Financial Affairs: No report.
- Sandy Mekany, Vice President of University Affairs:
1. The Your Voice Matters push week is next week. It is primarily focusing on a social media campaign but walkarounds in classrooms are also being scheduled. - Mayah Taylor, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report.
- Bianca Shaw, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report.
- Ava Grell, ASBOD Student-At-Large: No report.
- Christina Brown, Executive Director:
1. Christina gave thanks to everyone who helped with Aztecs Rock Hunger and announced the reveal of the winners will be presented on November 28th.
2. An overnight guard has been hired for the Aztec Student Union to try and combat the safety issues the Union has been facing.
3. Christina also gave a shout out to Meena, Shawki, and Bianca for planning the NPHC Yard Show where they had about 800 people in attendance. - Aztec Student Union Board (ASUB):
1. The A.S. instagram is close to 5,000 followers and they will be doing a giveaway to promote more followers.
2. On Monday the ASUB Board voted to approve events for the Spring 2023 semester. - Community Service Commission (CSC):
1. On 11/16 there will be an Aztec for Life blood drive in the Viejas arena.
2. CSC members are interested in being able to each plan one event per semester to allow CSC to hold more events. - Campus Community Commission (CCC):
1. There have been two safety commission meetings so far and they are primarily trying to address safety concerns in Villa Alvarado as well as the Student Union.
2. There will be a Campus Safety Town Hall next Wednesday. - Recreation and Wellness Commission:
1. The ARC held a 3 v 3 basketball tournament and 46 people participated.
2. The commission is currently working on the ARC activation plan.
3. Adapted athletics was able to raise $800 with a lift-a-thon.
4. 124 people participated in swim lessons at the aquaplex. - Student Diversity Commission (SDC):
1. SDC is currently creating a presentation about entering cultural events for A.S. representatives.
2. It is currently Native American heritage month.
3. On 11/15 there will be a grand opening for the Undocumented Resource center at 1:30 p.m. - Student Support Commission (SSC):
1. The Children’s Center has multiple events being planned such as: Barnes and Noble fundraiser 11/14-11/18, The first social event, a movie night, is still being planned, Panera fundraiser on 11/16
2. The food pantry received twelve frozen turkeys and they will be picked up on 11/18 they will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.
3. ECRT is currently working on a Basic Needs promotion week. - Green Love/Sustainability Commission:
1. Tomorrow morning there is a meeting scheduled with Aztec Shops about sustainable eating on campus.
2. Later this month GreenLove will receive a sustainability tour of the newly remodeled ARC.
3. Next week there is a JLBS and a movie night that will educate about sustainable shopping. - Campus Life Council Student-at-Large:
1. FAC approved the Children’s Center rebudget.
2. FAC wants to find ways to explain what they do to other RSO’s so it is easier for them to be approved for money. - Marketing and Communications Commission:
1. Working on a A.S. spring calendar and is looking to add other approved events from other commissions.
IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Robson: Today is Trenton’s birthday.
- Trenton: Pike and Alpha Phi will be holding a car wash to raise money for Part of the Change where donations will go to the refugee center in City Heights.
- Phillip: 12/2 will be a multicultural Chabot.
- Bianca: the NPHC Thanksgiving will be on 11/15 in the Hillel Center.
- Raul: The Geography department will be having a tabling week.
