I. CALL TO ORDER
A.S. Executive Vice President, Meena Alexander, called the meeting to order at 3:36 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.

- SDSU Vice President of Student Affairs Designee - No report.
- Introduction of Chief Greg Murphy, SDSU Chief of Police (Time Certain 3:45 p.m.): Chief Greg Murphy, SDSU Police Chief, presented the SDSUPD’s philosophy on community policing.
- Aztec Student Union Board (ASUB) Presentation: Shelbie and Trent presented on the mission and operations of the Aztec Student Union Board (ASUB).

1. Sign up to volunteer for ARH
2. Halloween Moral Event in the office tomorrow
3. Homecoming is next week!!!

5. Council members of the month: Nina Go and Philip Bury - Shawki Moore, President:
1. The execs visited the First Year Leadership Initiative (FLI) last week and had a panel discussion. Austin is looking for CLC members interested in presenting on a panel in future FLI meetings, Thursdays 3:30 - 4 and 4:30 - 5.
2. Shared Governance resolution will be voted on in UC next week
3. Please share feedback, if you have any.
4. Attending a Campanile Foundation event tonight - Robson Winter, Vice President of External Relations:
1. Rock the Vote (RTV) event today: candidate for SD Sheriff spoke on campus
2. RTV event at noon on Monday, Oct 31, Todd Gloria (SD mayor) will be speaking on campus about topics such as housing and public transportation. - Sophia Koch, Vice President of Financial Affairs:
1. We are halfway through the Aztecs Rock Hunger (ARH) campaign, please keep pushing in your commissions
2. We need volunteers for ARH homecoming canning at Snapdragon Stadium! - Sandy Mekany, Vice President of University Affairs: No report.

- Christina Brown, Executive Director:
1. The Graduate Student Association had an amazing event last week, over 350 people at Scripps Cottage for a mixer. If you have any grad students on your committees, please pass their names along to me.
2. In addition to the campus safety committee in CCC, A.S. staff is feeling unsafe in our union and the ARC at night, assessing safety in facilities. hired a safety expert to be present on campus from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. - Aztec Student Union Board (ASUB):
1. Sip N’ Paint, 5 p.m., Montezuma Hall, tomorrow (10/27)
2. Homecoming is next week, lots of events to attend. - Community Service Commission (CSC):
1. Matt Devoys, new CSC Rep, introduced himself to CLC. - Campus Community Commission (CCC):
1. Good Neighbor Clean Up last Sunday (10/23), about 70 people participated.
2. The first Campus Safety Subcommittee meeting today.
3. Topics of discussion: campus lighting and evening campus escorts
4. The next Good Neighbor Clean Up is Nov 13th. - Recreation and Wellness Commission:
1. Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) occurred yesterday. The event went very well, and they collaborated with SAL Tarek Morsy.
2. Over 20,000 students have activated their accounts.
3. Targeting populations that have fewer activations
4. Budgets from Aztec Rec and sports clubs were approved in their last meeting - Student Diversity Commission (SDC):
1. Had a discussion on cultural appropriation DOs and DON’Ts for Halloween costumes and decorations
2. The Native Resource Center (NRC) gave a presentation on the word Aztec and the mascot. - Student Support Commission (SSC):
1. Elections for Commuter Student Board Chair is next week (10/24)
2. Children’s Center fundraiser Nov 14th - 18th, visit any Barnes and Nobles
3. Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT) updates:
- CalFresh outreach event yesterday (10/25) from 10 am - 2 pm in the Basic Needs Center
- Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Weeks is in November
- Student eligibility changes for CalFresh, expect an email explaining the changes from employers soon - Green Love/Sustainability Commission:
1. The second Green Lunch Bag Series was today.
2. Completed their month long food industry discussion
3. Consumer industry is the November discussion topic.
4. The next Green Lunch Bag Series will be on ‘fast fashion’ vs ‘sustainable fashion’
5. Working on sustainability concerns with the Salton Sea Project happening in the Imperial Valley.
6. Looking into cleaning stations being placed next to the recycling bins in the union.
7. Picking out furniture for the Sustainability Center
8. Working on hiring a consultant to increase sustainable investment on campus. - Campus Life Council Student-at-Large:
1. FAC is approving re-budgets.
2. AOD Event yesterday in collaboration with Rec and Wellness Rep 3. Philip to prevent alcohol and drug use issues occurring over the Halloween weekend. - Marketing and Communications Commission:
1. Day in the Life Instagram Reel series starting
2. Looking for more volunteers to create Reels
- Open to both AS leaders and employees
IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Shawki: Today is Sophia’s birthday!
- Bianca: Next Friday is the NPHC Yard Show, starting at 7 p.m., Black-owned vendors selling goods starting at 5 p.m. Upcoming poetry slam in the backyard of the BRC
- Beth: Title 9 assessment focus group next week, please reach out if you’re interested in participating
- Trent: General confusion amongst students about my.SDSU functionality (how to use it)
- Lexi: APIDA Center and APSA Night Market happening right now in the Union courtyard; Jordan (JAC) is performing!!
- Meena: Please look into completing your A.S. requirements! Three requirements: one hour of tabling, attend an RSO meeting you’re not a part of, attend a cultural event hosted by a community you don’t identify with
- Tarek: In the Mix is collaborating with Green Love and ASUB, if any other A.S. commissions want to collaborate, reach out to Tarek
