VI. UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS
- SDSU Vice President of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity Designee: Dr. Andrea Dooley reported on the following:
- Thank you to Crystal and everyone involved with the Canvas “pop up” regarding mental health resources. We are actively promoting the resources that we provide to students.
- The Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT) and Counseling & Psychological Services are here for you.
- All persons over the age of 16 are eligible to be vaccinated starting tomorrow, April 15. We will have a ‘Talk with the Doc’ campaign coming soon regarding vaccinations. As a reminder, the Viejas Arena is a vaccination site.
- The Governor announced that mid-June there is an anticipation that the COVID restrictions will be lifted.
- Fall semester is anticipated to be mostly in-person.
- Continuing to plan for the SDSU Commencement at Petco Park.
- Rapid Re-Housing Presentation - Keiara Allen, Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT), SDSU Well-Being and Health Promotion (Time Certain 3:45 p.m.): Keiara Allen from ECRT presented on the Rapid Re-Housing program to secure housing for homeless/housing insecure students by providing housing location, short-term financial assistance, and wrap around case management services.

CARRIED (19-0-0) - Automatic Data Processing (ADP) Presentation - Nickolas Wohlman, Associate District Manager, SBS (Time Certain 4:00 p.m.): Nickolas Wohlman, former A.S. Executive Vice President and current Associate District Manager of ADP, presented job opportunities for students and/or graduating students in small business sales.
VIII. REPORTS OF CAMPUS LIFE COUNCIL MEMBERS
- Aztec Student Union Board (ASUB): Will be selecting the ASUB commissioner and Vice Commissioner on Monday, April 26. The chair position interviews will be from April 28-30. We have a “Chill with Bob Ross” event led by a certified Bob Ross instructor.
- Campus Community Commission (CCC): Working with the working groups. Focusing to update the website and encouraging members to apply for appointed positions.
- Community Service Commission (CSC): We will have the CSC elections for commissioner, Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator. Have a Pay It Forward Day. We are working on transitions.
- Recreation and Wellness Commission: San
- Student Diversity Commission (SDC): Preparing for next year’s transition. Have been preparing Diversity Equity Inclusion goals for the next team.
- Student Support Commission (SSC): Had a conversation about the future of the food pantry. We will continue to improve the food pantry. Preparing for transition next year.
- Sustainability/Green Love Commission: The last Green Lunch Bag Series was today. Discussed having a debrief meeting after the Commissioner vote. Discussing morale ideas for the Co-Chairs.
- Campus Life Council Students-at-Large: Working on transition for CLC representatives and promoting appointed positions.
- Marketing and Communications Commission: Provided an update regarding transitions and MarComm Commissioner elections.
- Board of Directors Students-at-Large:
- Ashley provided an update regarding Activity 45 Strategic Plan. I encourage everyone to apply for an A.S. appointed position.
- Abi provided an update regarding the wellness hub in Calpulli and if you have ideas for a name of the hub, please let me know.
- Executive Vice President: Bella Martelino reported on the following:
- Aztec Achievement Awards are next week.
- Bill Nye the Science Guy is the headliner for GreenFest.
- Thank you for ALL that you have done this year. Campus Life Council is the best Council and I commend you all for your hard work, especially in this virtual world.
- President: Christian Holt reported on the following:
- The next University Senate in May will have two additional student seats from the Imperial Valley and the naming of the College of Arts & Letters to honor Dr. Shirley Weber.
- Thank you all for your hard work for the students this year. You have made a tremendous impact from your respective commissions this year.
- Vice President of External Relations: Armando Sepulveda reported on the following:
- California State University (CSU) is holding an Earth Day event on 4/22. I will moderate the event. We will have breakout rooms.
- Vice President of Financial Affairs: Victor Penera reported on the following:
- Working on the budget presentations from the A.S. facilities and departments.
- Aztecs Rock Hunger leadership applications will be out soon.
- Thank you for everything you have done!
- Vice President of University Affairs: Crystal Sanchez reported on the following:
- The Canvas pop up for mental health resources was from a Your Voice Matters submission.
- Working with College Councils and their election process to support them.
- Commencement will be at Petco Park and graduates will receive two tickets.
- Executive Director: Christina reported on the following:
- Thank you for everything you have done this year. I hope to work with you again next year.
IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- Ashley announced that the SDSU Leadership Minor needs students to declare the minor. Please explore the options for that. There is an opportunity to complete the minor in 1-2 semesters. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
- Simran announced there is a GreenFest event on Thursday -- Homegrown Eats with Sonali Sadequee. More information on the GreenFest Instagram.
