A.S. Executive Vice President, Bella Martelino called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m. PST.

V.  PUBLIC COMMENT:

None.

VI.  UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS

  1. SDSU Vice President of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity Designee: Dr. Andrea Dooley reported on the following:
    1. Provided an update about Ability Ally Training through the Student Ability Success Center (SASC). 
    2. Provided an update about the rapid rehousing program through the Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT) to provide financial support in regards to housing.
    3. Announced that they are looking for Financial Education peers for the 2021-2022 academic year. 
    4. Provided an update regarding vaccination phases and that all students who are employed by the University are eligible to be vaccinated; and starting Monday, March 15, for those with an underlying medical condition will be eligible.  
    5. In-person events will start soon and all students attending these events will have to have a negative COVID test result on file.
    6. More information about the fall schedule in terms of classes will be communicated soon.
  2. Your Voice Matters Presentation (Time Certain 3:45 p.m.)
    Rob and Fabiola presented on the Your Voice Matters year long initiative and how to submit a Your Voice Matters comment if anyone had any feedback, concerns or suggestions about any University topic.

  2. In-Person Events and Activities (Information) - Michele Mignogna, Interim Assistant Director, Student Organizations and Activities - Student Life and Leadership (Time Certain 3:55 p.m.)
    Michelle Mignogna of Student Life and Leadership provided an update about the University approving limited in-person RSO events and activities that follow COVID guidelines.  

VIII.  REPORTS OF CAMPUS LIFE COUNCIL MEMBERS

  1. Aztec Student Union Board (ASUB):  ASUB had 800 people at Bretman Rock. Working on a name change for Tehuanco in the student union.  
  2. Campus Community Commission (CCC): Working with Raquel Herriott from the University Police Department about campus safety and collaborating within the CCC working groups.
  3. Community Service Commission (CSC): Focusing on the Education and Service Career Fair on March 18. 
  4. Recreation and Wellness Commission: Will be having a March Hiking Challenge.
  5. Student Diversity Commission (SDC):  Working on reviewing the climate survey results and will create goals for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) plan.
  6. Student Support Commission (SSC): Working on the Student Ability Success Center (SASC) video, resource guide & Your Voice Matters, and CalFresh Day.  Christina Brown gave an update about the Children’s Center and that the Center opened on Monday after being closed for 12 days due to enhancements to COVID-19 protocol and communication.  
  7. Sustainability/Green Love Commission:  There has been two Green Lunch Bag Series the past weeks and working on transitioning to the new leaders.  
  8. Campus Life Council Students-at-Large:  Working on a new graphic for Coffee Chats.  
  9. Marketing and Communications Commission: Promoting A.S. elections. Had a presentation from Juliana Saenz from Career Services.
  10. Board of Directors Students-at-Large:  
    1. Ashley provided an update regarding CCC working groups, campus safety collaboration and Your Voice Matters presentations.
    2. Abi provided an update regarding Financial Bingo, visits to CLC commissions and ECRT resources.
  11. Executive Vice President: Bella Martelino reported on the following:
    1. Received over 120 applications for the Aztec Achievement Awards.
    2. Working with the CCC and the Good Neighbor Program about a virtual clean up during GreenFest.
  12. President:  Christian Holt reported on the following:
    1. Working on campus reentry and in-person events with Dean Timm and Caryl Adams, including SDSU Sports Clubs reentry.
    2. Provided an update regarding commencement in May.
    3. Working on a vaccination campaign.
    4. First virtual Hot Chocolate with President de la Torre is this Friday.
  13. Vice President of External Relations: Armando Sepulveda reported on the following:
    1. California Higher Education Student Summit (CHESS) advocacy visits are this week.
  14. Vice President of Financial Affairs: Victor Penera reported on the following:
    1. Financial Bingo was a success.
    2. Financial Affairs Committee working on funding requests and preparing for cultural RSO budget requests for next year.
  15. Vice President of University Affairs: Crystal Sanchez reported on the following:
    1. Your Voice Matters push week was last week.  Received over 40 submissions.
  16. Executive Director:  Christina reported on the following:
    1. Reminder that the appointed positions are due on April 13.
