A.S. Executive Vice President, Bella Martelino called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m. PST.

VI.  UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS

  1. SDSU Vice President of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity Designee: Dr. Andrea Dooley reported on the following:
    1. Provided an update about CalFresh Day and Financial Bingo.
    2. Provided an update about vaccine distribution where the County stated that education leaders, like K-12 teachers, University employees (full-time and part-time) are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, and that students ages 16 through 50 may be eligible from April through June.  
  2. Duo Multi-Factor Authentication Presentation - Sheryll Del Rosario and Micah Doiron, IT Security Office (Time Certain 4:00 p.m.)
    Sheryll Del Rosario and Micah Doiron from the SDSU IT Security Office presented on Duo Multi-Factor Authentication for all SDSU student, faculty and staff accounts. The Duo MFA will be enforced starting on March 5. Micah provided a live demonstration on how to activate Duo MFA on a personal device, like a mobile phone.

VIII.  REPORTS OF CAMPUS LIFE COUNCIL MEMBERS

  1. Aztec Student Union Board (ASUB):  ASUB is working on a name change for Tehuanco in the student union.  Planning GreenFest in April.  Will be hosting an Aztec Nights movie screening on campus with COVID guidelines and working on outreach for ASUB committee members. 
  2. Campus Community Commission (CCC): Had a Your Voice Matters presentation, worked with Raquel Herriott from the University Police Department about campus safety, and had a Mindful Minute at their last meeting.
  3. Community Service Commission (CSC): Working on the Education and Service Career Fair on March 18.  Random Acts of Kindness Week will be in April. Elected Megan the new CSC secretary.
  4. Recreation and Wellness Commission: Provided an update about the Recreation Field and ARC Outdoors.  The Adaptive Athletics program transition from Health & Human Services to Associated Students will occur on March 15.
  5. Student Diversity Commission (SDC): Will have a guest speaker about healthy mental health habits.  The climate survey is closed and will analyze the research and create goals for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) plan.
  6. Student Support Commission (SSC): Working on the Student Ability Success Center (SASC) video, resource guide & Your Voice Matters, and CalFresh Day.  Christina Brown gave an update about the Children’s Center and that the Center opened on Monday after being closed for 12 days due to enhancements to COVID-19 protocol and communication.  
  7. Sustainability/Green Love Commission:  Working on shared governance, had the micromobility vote and MTS discussion at the meeting, and the Go Green/Get Outside campaign.  Collaborating with cultural centers.
  8. Campus Life Council Students-at-Large:  Working on a new graphic for Coffee Chats.  Assisting with campus safety.  
  9. Marketing and Communications Commission: Beth reported on the following:
    1. Promoting A.S. elections.  Creating a voter guide for the candidates with the help of the A.S. Graphics team.  Will assist with Aztec Achievement Awards.  Prepared to help with GreenFest.  
  10. Board of Directors Students-at-Large:  
    1. Abi provided an update regarding the Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT) Advocate Training and ECRT resources.
    2. Ashley provided an update on the Activity 45 Strategic Plan Committee focusing on equity gaps in the classroom and faculty accountability.  Attended a campus safety meeting regarding officer misconduct reporting.
  11. Executive Vice President: Bella Martelino reported on the following:
    1. Aztec Achievement Awards applications are open until March 1.  Tentative date is April 22 at 5:30 p.m. as a virtual event.
    2. Will reach out to the Good Neighbor Program about a clean up during GreenFest.
  12. President:  Christian Holt reported on the following:
    1. Working on campus reentry and in-person events with Dean Timm and Caryl Adams.
    2. Meeting with the College of Health & Human Services to support their virtual study abroad for the summer.
  13. Vice President of External Relations: Armando Sepulveda reported on the following:
    1. Having legislative visits.
    2. California Higher Education Student Summit (CHESS) delegates were selected.
  14. Vice President of Financial Affairs: Victor Penera reported on the following:
    1. Receiving funding requests from RSO’s.
    2. Continuing to work and promote the Financial Education Peer Program.  Let me know if you are interested in being a Financial Education Peer.  
    3. Good job on the SDSU Resource Guide.
  15. Vice President of University Affairs: Crystal Sanchez reported on the following:
    1. Second Rest & Recovery Day is on Monday, March 8.  Please send any day-of violations to me.  Thanks in advance for having your groups welcome Your Voice Matters (YVM).  YVM Push Week is next week. 
  16. Executive Director:  Christina reported on the following:
    1. Reminder that the appointed positions are due on April 13.  

IX.  ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1. Ashley announced that on the Inclusive SDSU webpage, the link to report any officer misconduct is at the bottom of the page.
  2. Alanie shared current happenings within the Asian community and is an ally for support.
  3. Carissa announced that the Asian Pacific Student Alliance (APSA) is having a matching campaign for the Asian American’s Advancing Justice (AAJC) until March 6.
