VI. UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS
- SDSU Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Diversity Designee: Dr. Andrea Dooley reported on the following:
- Academic Affairs is working to finalize which courses will be scheduled in-person for the spring semester.
- SDSU Counseling and Psychological Services will present to various groups on the resources they provide.
- Rock the Vote Presentation – Armando Sepulveda, A.S. Vice President of External Relations: Armando presented details about the Rock the Vote campaign, highlighting the
upcoming events, information on Elections Day, voter registration and referred to the Rock the Vote website for information about the propositions on the California ballot.

VIII. REPORTS OF CAMPUS LIFE COUNCIL MEMBERS
- Aztec Student Union Board (ASUB): ASUB has a lot going on. We had ‘Live with a Leader’ with Matt Mitchell. We have the second Cooking with Chefs with AB Samahan. The next ‘Live with a Leader’ will be with Rotaract. Homecoming and GreenFest planning are happening right now.
- Campus Community Commission (CCC): We are working on peer-to-peer videos for effective messaging for students (Be a Good Neighbor, COVID Safety, “Wear the Right Mask” this Halloween). Working on how we can adapt the Good Neighbor Program virtually.
- Community Service Commission (CSC): We are focusing on “Random Acts of Kindness (RAK)” challenge where the whole campus can partake in it. We will have a lot in store for RAK. We will be attending an Economic Crisis Response Team training.
- Recreation and Wellness Commission: The Aztec Recreation Center (ARC) construction is still occurring. The live camera on the construction is on the ARC website. ARC Outdoors reservations are increasing.
- Student Diversity Commission (SDC): Our focus is on the SDSU Strategic Plan Committee Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). We are also working on the DEI plan for A.S. We are also working on a DEI survey for A.S. leaders and planning an SDC Mixer event.
- Student Support Commission (SSC): The ECRT resource video script is approved. We will start filming soon. Started planning Mental Health Week. Will meet with Dr. Dooley regarding the resource guide. Commuter Student Board had their first meeting. SDSU
Children’s Center will be having a Chipotle fundraiser on 10/27 and a Scholastic Book Fair. - Sustainability/Green Love Commission: We sent out our Green Voter guide. We will be sending extended information guide to participants after our events. Restarting the project to have high-density bike racks near the ARC. Our Zero Waste Fair and Green Lunch Bag Series will be next week. Had a SDSU Best Buddies collaboration.
- Campus Life Council Students-at-Large: We are excited to finalize our plan for the coffee chats/office hours. We will launch hopefully in two weeks. Excited to help plan Mental Health Week. Will also talk with Armando about Rock the Vote.
- Marketing and Communications Commission: None.
- Board of Directors Student-at-Large:
- Ashley is working on the A.S. internal newsletter, especially between Councils to connect all of us, by the end of the month.
- Abi reported that we have nine weeks left of the semester.
- Executive Vice President: Bella Martelino reported on the following:
- Homecoming: Will have a pre-event for the game in November. Working with SDSU Athletics. We give you more information about Homecoming Royals at the next meeting.
- MarComm is working on an Instagram video campaign called “Day in the Life”, similar to the TikTok videos. These will give an insight to SDSU students of how you are as a student leader, an individual and an SDSU student. Will be sending a Google form soon for those interested.
- President: No report.
- Vice President of External Relations: Armando Sepulveda reported on the following:
- The last day to register to vote is Monday, October 19!
- Rock the Vote will have Zoom-arounds to break down information on the California propositions. If your board or committee are interested in a presentation, please let me know.
- California State Student Association (CSSA) Plenary is this weekend (Saturday only). Please let me know if you would like the Zoom link.
- Vice President of Financial Affairs: Victor Penera reported on the following:
- Aztecs Rock Hunger (ARH) Updates: We have five days left. After the campaign, food insecurity issues remain. Please be an advocate for all basic needs. Donate today!
- We will hosting a Fighting Insecurity Workshop tomorrow.
- Financial Affairs Committee (FAC): We are looking at policy changes for Campus Program Funding (CPF) and student organization funding.
- Serving on a Revenue Funding Planning Committee. Will share updates as I have them.
- Start looking for internships for the summer. Start early!
- Vice President of University Affairs: Crystal Sanchez reported on the following:
- Registration starts in two weeks! Classes will be listed as synchronous or
asynchronous. - All College Councils have been working on the Academic Report.
- The first University Affairs Board meeting is Friday, October 23 at 11:00 a.m.

- Working on A.S. reentry plan. More information to come at the next meeting.
- Mission Bay Aquatic Center was approved to offer ENS classes for the spring semester. If you have not attended a class there, please sign up for one if you would like to be outdoors to take a watersports class for credit!
IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS

Commissioner, College of Education Representative, and Elections Coordinator. Deadline is on Wednesday, October 28 at 4 p.m. Request an application on the A.S. Government website.
