I. CALL TO ORDER

A.S. President Tarek Morsy called the meeting to order at 3:36 p.m.

It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda for August 23, 2023.

IV. PUBLIC COMMENT

Samuel gave public comment regarding the Jiu Jitsu club and their limitations on booking events as a registered student organization as well as fees and health insurance they are required to come out of pocket for.

V. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION 

  1. University Leadership Panel (Time Certain 3:45 p.m.)
    The A.S. leaders were able to engage in a panel with various administrative leaders of San Diego State University.

VII. ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Itzel Estrada: The Aztec Recreation Center will be holding “ARC till Dark” on 8/28 since it has been rescheduled due to the tropical storm. 
  2. Victor Plunkett: This year's leadership panel was very informative and useful to A.S. leaders. 
  3. Kat Hernandez: GreenLove will be hosting two more “Swap Shops” since it was very popular last semester, they will be looking for volunteers and donations. 
  4. Sam Lingao: Sam thanked everyone for being there and participating in asking questions to the leadership panel. 
  5. Ally Gallant: If you were unable to make the A.S. retreat there will be a presentation and pizza in the A.S. office.
