A.S. President Shawki Moore called the meeting to order at 3:36 p.m.

Chief Justice Jordan Valdez gave a public comment regarding council members with perfect attendance this semester and their reward for their dedication.   

V. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION 

  1. End of the Year Reflections (Information)
    The A.S. leaders reflected on the academic year.
  2. Swearing-In of the 2023/24 A.S. President by the University President (Time Certain 5 p.m.)
    President Adela de la Torre administered the oath of office to A.S. President-elect, Tarek Morsy.
  3. Swearing-In of the 2023/24 A.S. Executive Officers by the A.S. President 2023/24
      A.S. President, Tarek Morsy, administered the oath of office to the A.S. Vice Presidents.

VII. ANNOUNCEMENTS 

  1. Bianca Shaw: for all graduating A.S. leaders there will be a celebration on May 11th for more information Bianca encouraged council members to reach out to her. 
  2. Sandy Mekany: For finals the library will be providing scantrons and snacks to assist students during this stressful time. 
  3. Mayah Taylor: Mayah congratulated everyone on the previous councils and incoming council members who will be sworn in. 
  4. Derrick Herrera: Today is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
