I. CALL TO ORDER
A.S. President Shawki Moore called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m.
II.ROLL CALL

III. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda for November 14, 2022.

VI. UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS
- Business and Financial Affairs Designee, Jessica Rentto reported on the following:
1. The Mission Valley campus development has chosen a developer to partner with, Avalon Bay Properties, to develop the residential portion of the Mission Valley campus. - University President Designee, Dr. Aniesha Mitchell reported on behalf of Dr. J. Luke Wood:
1. There was a clog in the water pipes at Chapultepec residence hall which caused food debris and discoloration to contaminate the water. The issue was resolved and the water was deemed as safe.
2. There has been a surge in the number of complaints from residents in the College Area about large gatherings and noise. Although after investigations many reports have not directly involved SDSU students.
3. A Chief Wellness and Compliance Officer has been hired and the individual will support compliance pieces of SDSU.
VII. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION
- General Consent Agenda (Action)
It was moved and seconded to approve the General Consent Agenda.

The General Consent Report was reviewed. - Proposed Amendments to the A.S. Bylaws, Codes, and Charters (Information) - Jordan Valdez, A.S. Chief Justice (Time Certain 3:45 p.m.)
1. #BA-F22-01: SDSU Children’s Center Board, Chief Justice Jordan Valdez: Chief Justice Jordan Valdez gave a brief explanation of the updated bylaws for the SDSU Children’s Center Board that was presented and approved by the Judicial Affairs Council.
- Proposed Increase in Campus Non-Resident Fee Discussion (Information) - Katie Robinson, Business and Financial Affairs (Time Certain 4:15 p.m.)
1. Katie Robinson and Crystal Little from SDSU Business and Financial Affairs led an open discussion about what the board members think should be changed or expanded on more as they keep working on the proposed fee. This fee will be proposed through an alternative consultation rather than a referendum due to its complexity.
- SDSU Children's Center Audit Results - Carlos Careaga, A.S. Finance Director (Information)
1. Carlos Careaga gave a brief explanation of the SDSU Children’s Center audit results. These results concluded that there were no findings and everything was correct.

IX. BOARD OF DIRECTORS COMMITTEE REPORTS

X. EXECUTIVE REPORTS
- President, Shawki Moore:
1. Shawki expressed his pride for how the board handled the presentation of the fee proposal.
2. On 11/30 after the University Council and Campus Life Council meetings, A.S. leaders will head to Dave and Busters to celebrate.
3. On 12/2 there will be a University House celebration and the SDSU President will be hosting this event. - Executive Vice President, Meena Alexander: No report.
- Vice President of External Relations, Robson Winter:
1. About 530 students registered to vote through Rock the Vote efforts.
2. On Election Day many students took advantage of the polling center that was in the Student Union on the second floor. - Vice President of Financial Affairs, Sophia Koch:
1. The Aztecs Rock Hunger Reveal will be held on 11/28 at 2 p.m. in the Union Courtyard. - Vice President of University Affairs, Sandy Mekany:
1. Today is the first day of the Your Voice Matters push week.
2. There are multiple walkarounds and tabling scheduled during push week. - Executive Director, Christina Brown:
1. The Campus Safety Committee that met last week is looking to promote the ‘SDSU Safe’ app to have more student engagement.
2. Last Wednesday Christina attended the Annual Light Walk where the upgraded lighting projects on campus were shown as well as potential future upgrades to lighting on campus.
3. There are ongoing efforts to have the new social worker at University Police Department (UPD) help the overnight security guard with compassion tactics when dealing with transient populations.

XII. ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Grace Devega announced that requirements are due 11/17.
- Bianca Shaw announced there is a National Panhellenic Council (NPHC) Thanksgiving on 11/15 at the Hillel Center.
- Christina announced that the Undocumented Resource Center will be having a grand opening at 1:30 p.m. on 11/15.
