A.S ALL COUNCIL MEETING 2022/23

I.  CALL TO ORDER

A.S. President Shawki Moore called the meeting to order at 5:39 p.m. 

II.  ROLL CALL

It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda for May 4, 2022.

V.  ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION

  1. Swearing-In of the 2022/23 A.S. Board of Directors
    A.S. Vice President of External Relations, Robson Winter, administered the oath of office to the A.S. Board of Directors Student-at-Large.
  2. Swearing-In of the 2022/23 A.S. Campus Life Council
    A.S. Executive Vice President, Meena Alexander, administered the oath of office to the A.S.Campus Life Council.
  3. Swearing-In of the 2022/23 A.S. University Council and College Council Presidents
    Sandy Mekany, A.S. Vice President of University Affairs, administered the oath of office to the A.S. University Council and College Council Presidents.
  4. Swearing-In of the 2022/23 A.S. University Council and College Council Presidents
    Sandy Mekany, A.S. Vice President of University Affairs, administered the oath of office to the  A.S. University Council and College Council Presidents.
  5. Swearing-In of the 2022/23 A.S. Imperial Valley President and Officers
     Dr. Henry Villegas, Dean of Students of the Imperial Valley, administered the   oath of office to Jazmyn Horton-Alvarado, 2022/23 A.S. President of Imperial     Valley.

    Jazmyn Horton-Alvarado administered the oath of office to the officers of A.S. Imperial Valley.
  6. Welcome and Report from the A.S. President, Shawki Moore
    Shawki welcomed the new members.  He yielded time to Meena Alexander, A.S. Executive Vice President, to give updates about the A.S. Pre-Summer Retreat and the Fall Retreat in August.
  7. Approval of the 2022 Summer and Fall Meeting Schedule (Action)
    Shawki reviewed the dates of the summer and fall 2022 meeting schedule for the Councils.  

    It was moved and seconded to approve the meeting schedule.

VI.  ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. National Visibility Day is on May 5th.  Please wear red.
  2. Hillel is having an Independence Day Party from 7-10 p.m.
  3. The College of Engineering Student Council will be having a solar electric vehicle event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  4. There is a SWANA banquet celebration at Scripps Cottage from 6-9 p.m.
