I.  CALL TO ORDER

A.S. President Ashley Tejada called the meeting to order at 3:40 p.m. 

II.  ROLL CALL

III.  APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA

It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda for March 7, 2022.

    1. Thank you for all that you do for Associated Students.
  2. University President’s Designee:  Dr. Aniesha Mitchell, on behalf of Dr. J. Luke Wood reported on the following:
    1. Provided an update on collaboration to support the Black community.

X.  EXECUTIVE REPORTS

  1. President: Ashley Tejada reported on the following:
    1. 125th anniversary of SDSU is on Monday, March 14. 
    2. Provided a University Senate Committee meeting regarding the land acknowledgement on syllabi.  
    3. Attended the SDSU Alumni Board and Research Foundation meetings.
  2. Executive Vice President: Karina Esteban reported on the following:
    1. Aztec Achievement Awards are on April 21.  Please RSVP.
  3. Vice President of External Relations:  Shawki Moore reported on the following:
    1. There is a Registrar of Voters event tomorrow at Templo Mayor.  
    2. Rock the Vote will be having a ‘Power to the People’ series in April.
  4. Vice President of Financial Affairs: Austin Barber reported on the following:
    1. Financial Affairs Committee is preparing for the budget process for the upcoming 2022-23 academic year and for spring rebudgets of A.S. departments.
    2. There is additional FAC funding left, including Campus Program Funding.
  5. Vice President of University Affairs:  No report. 
  6. Executive Director: Christina Brown reported on the following:
    1. The Aztec Recreation Center had a record 5,000+ visitors at the center.
    2. A.S. received 342 study abroad applications for the scholarship.  
    3. We will need student leadership on the Student Success Fee evaluation committees.
    4. A.S. will be hiring an Assistant Director of Human Resources and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

XI.  REPORTS OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEMBERS

  1. Beth reported that Counseling and Psychological Services are hiring six new counselors/therapists.  If you are interested in learning more about this, please let me know.
