SPECIAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

I.  CALL TO ORDER

A.S. President Ashley Tejada called the meeting to order at 5:06 p.m.

II.  ROLL CALL

  1. Voting Members Present: Ashley Tejada, Karina Esteban, Shawki Moore, Austin Barber, Jennifer Schenkenfelder, Beth Bridges, Alexia Oduro, Ari Weizman, Margot Ermer (left early), Simran Jain
  2. Voting Members Absent: Stephen Jackson, Dr. J. Luke Wood, Jessica Rentto
  3. Non-Voting Members Present: Christina Brown, Janice Dils, Dr. Andrea Dooley, Dr. Aniesha Mitchell
  4. Non-Voting Members Absent: None.
  5. Guests: Jessica Becena, Derrick Herrera, Avellaka Majel, Chris Medellin, Shenelle Mason

III.  APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA

It was moved and seconded to approve the Special Board of Directors meeting agenda for March 9, 2022.

IV.  PUBLIC COMMENT: None.

V.  ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION

  1. Approval to Support Campus Communities (Action)
    Ashley led a discussion to create a statement to support the Native and Indigenous community. 

      It was moved and seconded to approve the statement to be distributed on the A.S. social channels. 
      ESTEBAN/MOORE       

      It was moved and seconded to make an amendment to the original motion to include the Native American Student Alliance as a co-author on the statement.
      MOORE/BARBER       CARRIED (9-0-0)

      Original motion was approved as amended. 

      The amended motion was approved.    CARRIED (9-0-0)

It was moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 6:35 p.m.
