I.  CALL TO ORDER

A.S. President Ashley Tejada called the meeting to order at 3:32 p.m. 

II.  ROLL CALL

VI.  UNIVERSITY REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS

  1. Business and Financial Affairs Designee: Jessica Rentto reported on the following:
    1. Agnes Wong Nickerson is the new Vice President of Business and Financial Affairs.
    2. Continuing to follow and review current COVID guidelines and policies.  
    3. CSU Chancellor Joseph Castro resigned and the interim Chancellor is Steve Relyea.
  2. University President’s Designee:  No report.

VII.  ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION

  1. General Consent Agenda (Action)
    It was moved and seconded to approve the General Consent Agenda consisting of Financial Affairs Committee and Marketing and Communications Committee minutes.

X.  EXECUTIVE REPORTS

  1. President: Ashley Tejada reported on the following:
    1. The alternative consultation process is still occurring.  Thank you for attending the A.S. All Council meeting last week.
    2. The Graduate Life and Diversity Center proposal was approved at the 2/7 Aztec Student Union Board meeting.  This item will go to the A.S. Campus Life Council meeting this coming Wednesday.
    3. Met with CIR students and graduate students.
    4. Attended the ‘Principles of Community’ meeting.  
    5. Attended the Senate Executive Committee meeting.
    6. Spoke at the SDSU Leadership Summit on Saturday.
    7. Sat on the interview panel for the Basic Needs Supervisor with Austin Barber.
  2. Executive Vice President: Karina Esteban reported on the following:
    1. Aztec Achievement Award nomination applications are available until March 6
  3. Vice President of External Relations: Shawki Moore reported on the following:
    1. Conducted CHESS interviews with Rob Winter, Lobby Corps Chair, to represent SDSU at CHESS.
    2. Prepping for the June 7 Election at the External Relations Board.
    3. A.S. Monthly Minute will be on Instagram on February 28.
  4. Vice President of Financial Affairs: Austin Barber reported on the following:
    1. Provided an update about my.sdsu and registering for fall classes.
    2. Economic Crisis Crisis Response Team (ECRT) updates: There is an ECRT Advocate training tomorrow and Friday, April 8, from 9-11:30 a.m. CalFresh workshop this Thursday from 1-2 p.m.
    3. Student Success Fee (SSF) applications are open from 2/14 through 3/28.
  5. Vice President of University Affairs:  Jennifer Schenkenfelder reported on the     following:
    1. A.S. University Council meeting was last week after the A.S. All Council meeting last week.
    2. The College Councils have been hosting tabling and recognized student organization (RSO) events.
    3. College of Engineering Student Council’s Engineering Week is this week.  Please support and attend their events.
    4. Met with Nick, new College of Business representative. 
    5. There are vacancies in the Professional Studies and Fine Arts Representatives.  
    6. Will be meeting with Provost Salvador Ochoa this Friday.
    7. Due to class, I will not be able to attend the University Senate Committee meetings.
  6. Executive Director: Christina Brown reported on the following:
    1. SDSU Farmers Market started back up again.  The A.S. Food Pantry is tabling.
    2. A.S. global education (study abroad) scholarships are live on Aztecs Abroad.
    3. A.S. funded graduate student travel funds are available.
    4. Please contact Austin if you know of any student organizations for additional funding.
    5. Congratulations to Beatriz Chavez Vega as the new A.S. Basic Needs Supervisor.
    6. Attended the Aztec Culture Education meeting last week.
    7. The Children’s Center 50th anniversary will be postponed to next year.
    8. The Mission Bay Aquatic Center 50th anniversary will be on May 21.
    9. In the fall, the Aztec Recreation Grand Opening, 25th anniversary of the opening of the ARC and Viejas Arena, and A.S. 90th Anniversary event will occur.  More details to come.
    10. The SDSU Football schedule is available.  

XI.  REPORTS OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEMBERS

  1. Alexia reported that she received feedback that the Black Resource Center would like to collaborate with the A.S. Food Pantry.
