I.  CALL TO ORDER

A.S. President, Christian Holt called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m.

IV.  PUBLIC COMMENT:

Maxwell Johnson, A.S. Chief of Staff, introduced the First-Year Leadership Experience (FLEX) members. The FLEX members introduced themselves.  

V.  PRESENTATION

  1. Presentation on resources regarding mental and emotional health – Dr. Mike Juan, SDSU Counseling and Psychological Services (Time Certain 3:40 p.m.)
    Dr. Mike Juan introduced himself and began with a breathing exercise.  Dr. Juan reviewed the services provided at SDSU Counseling and Psychological Services (C&PS) to include virtual experiences, the continuum of care model at CP&S (prevention, assessment, treatment and referral, and crisis intervention), phone consultations, and programs, such as Talk It Out. He reviewed pages on the CP&S website that list self-care strategies and skills.  He reviewed what A.S. leaders can do to support other students.  Dr. Juan led a breakout session and answered questions.

A.S. President Christian Holt called for a fifteen minute recess at 4:45 p.m.

The meeting reconvened at 5:00 p.m.

VI.  ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  1. Spring 2021 Meeting Schedule (Information)
    Bella reviewed the Spring 2021 meeting schedule and asked the A.S. leaders to save the date for the Spring retreat,January 15, 2021. 
  2. Fall 2020 Reflection (Information)
    Bella asked the A.S. leaders to share what they personally are proud of and what they are most proud of as being a part of an A.S. Council and A.S. board, committee or commission.
  3. End of Semester Team Activity (Information)
    Bella announced whoever would like to stay and play the game “Among Us” to please download the app on your phone and stay after adjournment. 

VII.  ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1. Jacinda announced that the Aztec Student Union will be closed starting on 12/19 through 1/3, including eateries. If you have any questions about Union operations, please ask her or JR.
  2. Ashley announced that she sent out the A.S. leader survey.  Please complete it.  Thank you!
  3. Jennifer announced that the Interdisciplinary Studies advisor will be leaving SDSU.  Crystal followed up that Interdisciplinary Studies in Three Departments (IS3D) majors can see an academic advisor.

VIII.  ADJOURNMENT:
