Sailing Instructor
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Instruct, supervise and keep records for a variety of sailing classes. Typical classes involve the supervision of 5-25 students in an instructional and recreational setting. Preparation includes lesson planning, equipment inspection and classroom setup. Instruction involves both land and water lectures, demonstration and skill practice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum two years sailing experience, preferably in the boats that our students will be using: Sabots, Holder 14’s, Hobie 16’s, Lasers, and J/24’s. Teaching skills, either formal or informal are helpful. Must be able to relate well with people and be interested in further developing the skills of others. Must possess or be willing to attain CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding certifications.
SALARY: $8.65-$9.73/hr
