A.S. Government Restructuring

On Nov. 14, 2012, the Associated Students Council approved the government restructuring proposal to be implemented for the upcoming 2013 – 2014 school year.

To ensure smooth and effective implementation, the A.S. Restructuring Committee is now working with all of the current A.S. boards, committees and college councils to update or revise the charters or bylaws of boards, committees and commissions in the new structure. The Restructuring Committee will be responsible for reviewing new or revised bylaws, and making recommendations to the A.S. Council for approval.

Before winter break, the A.S. Council approved the charter for the Aztec Student Union Program Board and the General Elections Code, which will take immediate effect in the 2012 student election. For more information on the election, including revisions to the elections code and new positions available, please refer to the elections website.

If you have any questions, would like more information, or have any comments or concerns you want to be addressed, please e-mail the Restructuring Committee Chair Jon Davidi.
