Youth Basic Sailing
Kids ages 6-17 can learn how to sail with us aboard their very own sailboat! The same knowledgeable sailing instructors from The Watersports Camp will teach how to sail using classroom instruction, demonstrations, and on-the-water coaching. Participants learn in an 8-foot single-person Sabot ideal for learning the basic concepts of sailing such as points of sail, tacking, and jibing. No sailing experience required!
Youth Advanced Sailing
For youth who have completed Basic Sailing and are ready to progress and sail larger boats this class will teach participants to work together with another sailor to rig, de-rig, sail, and capsize a multi-sail boat. Building on the foundation learned in Basic Sailing participants learn to work together to sail a multi-person, multi-sail vessel, the Holder 14. This class emphasizes teamwork, and satisfies the minimum sailing requirement needed for youth 14 and older to participate in The Watersports Camp's CIT Program.
Youth & Family Freeride Session*
The same knowledgeable instructors that teach The Watersports Camp program will lead this class covering the fundamentals of surfing, how waves form, and marine life you might see before heading out to the surf. Using soft boards specifically designed for beginner and intermediate surfers, participants will learn the basics of surfing or will practice their skills. Whether you want your child to learn to enjoy surfing or you want to become as good of a surfer as your child, this is the perfect opportunity for a family-fun day in the ocean.
Youth & Family Surf Experience
Bring the whole family or send the kids off for a fun day on the water! You will have the opportunity to wakeboard behind one of our top-of-the-line Nautique Surf System (NSS). We also provide current year Liquid Force and O'Brien wakeboards and Liquid Force wakesurf boards. Whether you will be trying wakeboarding and wakesurfing for the first time or you are working on advanced skills our instructors will teach you to your personal skill level.
