Calling all Aztecs! Did you have a blast at GreenFest this year? Want to be a part of the team that puts on all those fun yearly events? Apply to be the Chair or Vice-Chair of the 2015-2016 GreenFest Committee! This is a great opportunity for you to gain some leadership skills and work with a team of students dedicated to promoting sustainability, diversity and Aztec pride. Please note that the GreenFest Bike Brunch will now take place on Wednesday, March 4 at 10:00am on the South End of Campanile Walkway, and the GreenFest Boat Challenge for the Student Teams will take place at 4:00pm at the SDSU Aquaplex. GreenFest Week of festivities promoting diversity, sustainability, and Aztec Pride will culminate in the 2015 GreenFest Concert on March 5, 2015 at 7:00pm in the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre. AZTECS! Pull out your calendars and get ready for GreenFest Week on March 1-5, 2015. You'll experience some traditional GreenFest events like the Bike Brunch, Green Lunch Bag Series, Enviro-Fashion Show, and the Concert. We're also implementing innovative events such as the Boat Challenge/Pool Party at the SDSU Aquaplex, a basketball viewing party, Sustain Your Roots, and various Do It Yourself (DIY) activities. So don't forget to save the date for this fun filled week of activities that promote sustainability, diversity and Aztec Pride!
Traditionally, GreenFest has been a weeklong event. However, for the first time ever, GreenFest invites you to practice and celebrate sustainability, Aztec pride, and diversity all throughout the academic year! We’ll be having a different event every month. Be on the lookout!
GreenFest, presented by SDSU's Associated Students and SDSU's Enviro-Business Society, is a weeklong of events which encourage, celebrate, and advocate for sustainability, Aztec Pride, and diversity. The purpose of GreenFest is to engage the campus community through social and interactive programs in an effort to educate them on the important of living a sustainable lifestyle and to promote sustainable practices.
