WHAT WE OFFER

The Backdoor Studio is equipped with a wide variety of microphones, such as the Neumann TLM 103 and the Shure KSM44A, for any kind of vocal recording, from singing to voiceovers. Your session will also include a microphone stand with a reflection filter and a pop filter to better isolate your vocals in our acoustically-treated space.

Starting a podcast has never been easier with all the equipment we have available! We have four Shure SM7B microphones, the most commonly used microphone for podcasts, as well as a couple other microphones all great for podcast recordings. We also offer a user-friendly podcast mixer, where you'll easily be able to mix, record and export your podcast recording without any prior experience. You also have the option of recording a video podcast using our studio's cameras.

We have microphones for any instrument you need to record! Whether you'll be recording drums, guitars, horns, or any other instrument you can imagine, we have you covered. We offer over 20 different microphones all available for you to use for your recording. We also have a house drum kit, a guitar amp, a bass amp, and DI boxes for you to utilize.

Looking for a place for your band to rehearse on campus? Look no further! The studio comes equipped with a house drum kit, a guitar amp, a bass amp, a MIDI keyboard, and vocal microphones for your band’s rehearsal. Our drum kit is the only instrument we offer, so be prepared to bring the rest of your instruments.

Do you need a place to take photos for your student organization or club photos? Or are you interested in having a personal photoshoot? The studio can supply all the equipment needed for any of these types of photoshoots. We have different colored backdrop paper, including white, gray, red, blue, and orange. We also have studio lighting and a Canon DSLR camera with a tripod for you to capture the perfect shot.

Record your own video or short film by using the studio’s green screen and film cameras! We offer two Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema 6K Pro cameras, which are user-friendly and ideal for recording long videos. We also have a shotgun microphone and studio lights for cinema-quality sound and lighting.

Our studio also has the capability to livestream any content for your personal YouTube, Instagram, or any other socials. All of our computers offer OBS, which is a user-friendly software for broadcasting. Our Blackmagic Design Studio 4K Pro camera is our dedicated camera ideal for broadcasting. From a band performance, to a podcast, to a newscast, the possibilities are endless of what you can stream from the studio.

The Backdoor Studio has an additional space, separate from the recording studio with three computers for editing. We call this our Editing Bay and it’s the perfect place to lock in and edit your projects anytime the studio is open. Be sure to check out all the different audio, video, and photo editing software we offer! Walk-ins are always welcome for editing sessions.
