Executive Officers
President
Amaru Marchant
Hi all! My name is Amaru Marchant and I am the UCC President for the 2022-23 academic year. I am a third-year majoring in Environmental Sciences with the Honors College's minor in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in French. However, I was originally an undeclared student! I've been involved with the UCC since my first year serving as the Freshman Liaison and then last year as the VP of Marketing. I'm grateful that this experience has allowed me to further my involvement with our A.S. student government and university leaders while representing undeclared voices. I also work as a Student Assistant with the Student Success Help Desk on campus which has provided me with many wonderful resources I hope to share with you all. Please feel free to connect with me at any time, whether it is related to the undeclared experience or anything else!
Executive Vice President
Emily Mountain
Hey! My name is Emily Mountain and this is my second year serving as the Executive Vice President of the Undeclared College Council. Currently, I am still an undeclared second year but hoping to declare in Urban Studies soon. I am also part of Gamma Phi Beta on campus and am a Residential Advisor. Outside of school, I love to travel and spend time with my friends and family! If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out.
VP of Finance
Ariana Ojeda
Hey y'all. My name is Ariana Ojeda. I am currently a Junior and this is my second year serving as the VP of Finance. I am a Finance major but I hope to switch to Human Resources (it’s okay to change your mind)! I have worked as an undeclared mentor for a general studies class and one fun fact about me is I collect hot wheels. One piece I have is to step outside your comfort zone. As a previously undeclared student, I recognize how daunting it may seem but that first step can make all the difference. If you are still unsure or nervous, let that first step be attending an UCC meeting.
VP of Marketing
Lauren Manuguid
Hi! My name is Lauren Manuguid and I am currently a sophomore art major. This is my first year in UCC and I serve as the VP of Marketing. As of right now I am a studio arts major but I am planning on switching to multimedia and minoring in Japanese. On campus, I am involved in Aztec Game Labs and AB Samahan. A fun fact about me is that I can make a three leaf clover with my tongue. I hope you all feel welcome to join UCC events and discuss your concerns!
VP of Internal Affairs
Arianne Barton
Hi everyone! My name is Arianne Barton and this is my first year serving on the Undeclared College Council as the VP of Internal Affairs. I am currently a Business Marketing major with a specialization in Integrated Marketing Communications and soon to be minor in Sociology. A little fun fact about me is that I was born in the Philippines and moved here when I was just 1 year old. In addition to holding a position in UCC, I am also the Residential Hall Association (RHA) President and work as a Supplemental Instruction leader for MATH 120. One piece of advice I have for all of you is to try something new as much as you can. Following that piece of advice is what led me to be part of many organizations that help students like myself. Let UCC be that “something new” for you!
A.S. Representative
Ethan Shelden
Hi — my name is Ethan Shelden and I am currently the Associated Students Representative for the Undeclared and Unclassified Council. I am currently an undeclared sophomore from Burlington, Vermont. In addition to being with A.S., I am also a part of the SDSU Snow Team.
VP of Programming
Rylan Christensen
My name is Rylan Christensen and I am a sophomore here at San Diego State. I am currently undeclared, but planning to declare as a Psychology major with a minor in Leadership. I am one of the UCC's Co-VPs of Programming. I make jewelry, crochet, write and listen to music in my free time. My advice to any undeclared students out there is not to stress if you don't have everything figured out yet because in my experience, you will feel like that even when you do have it figured out. The mantra I have been living by during my time in college has been: “If you're scared of something, you're just going to have to do it scared.” And it has worked out for me so far. Good luck!
VP of Programming
Tera Evans
Hi everyone! My name is Tera Evans, your VP of Programming. I am currently a junior here at SDSU and am majoring in Psychology and minoring in Child Development. A fun fact about me is that I love sports and played on three sports teams in high school! This passion of mine has continued into college as I am on three intramural sports teams (co-ed football, futsal and soccer). I also work at University Towers as a desk assistant and am on the hall council there. I am looking forward to helping any undeclared students find their passions and hope to see you all at our upcoming events!
Historian
Christian Chin
Hi there! My name is Christian Chin and I am the historian! I am currently a sophomore and I am majoring in General Business, though I hope to declare for a specialization soon (and a minor in Digital and Social Media Studies). I am also an executive member on the Photography Club working as Director of Outreach! A fun fact about me is that I am learning Japanese and hope to study abroad there soon. Don’t be afraid to get yourself out there and involved. It may seem scary at first, but you likely won’t regret it!
VP of Team Relations
Megan Madamba
Hi everyone, I’m Megan Madamba and I’m the VP of Team Relations for the UCC! I’m currently a senior and I’m double majoring in Philosophy and Religious Studies and I’m also pursuing the Honors minor. You can also find me at the STAR Center at Chappy where I work as an SCA. A fun fact about me is that during my study abroad trip, I had to go to the hospital twice! My advice for you is to prioritize your mental health during college, especially during midterms and finals so you can avoid getting burnt out! Have a good semester!
Freshman Liaison
Bradlee Danko
Hi everyone! My name is Bradlee Danko and this is my first year serving on the UCC as the Freshman Liaison. Currently I am an Undeclared first year, but hoping to declare by the end of the year. I am also a part of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority on campus. A fun fact about me is that I took a gap year last year in which I traveled in the United States and Europe. Outside of school, I love traveling, reading and spending time with my friends and family. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
