15 Questions

Andrew Miller

  1. What is your name and title?

    Andrew Miller, Systems Analyst

  2. Which A.S. department do you work in?

IT, I help fix computers around Associated Students.

  3. How long have you worked for A.S.?

    Three years!

  4. What was the last movie you saw? Thumbs up or thumbs down?

The last movie I saw was “The Irishman” on Netflix. First half was a thumbs up and second half was thumbs down. It was three and a half hours long which I didn’t realize going into it so I was not prepared for most of my day to involve a CGI looking Robert DeNiro. I had to take a few breaks.

  5. If you won $5 million what would you do with it?

Give enough to my family so they could finally retire and invest the rest with someone much smarter with money than me and probably keep doing what I’m doing until I get bored.

  6. What is your favorite dessert?

I’m not huge on dessert except for ice cream and crème brûlée. I’ve never had a cake or pie I thought was worth seconds.

  7. If you had one free hour each day, how would you use it?

An extra hour of sleep every day.

  8. Do you prefer pens or pencils?

Pens because I like the way they write better most of the time.

  9. What is your favorite book?

“The Things They Carried” by Tim O’Brien. My great uncle gave me a copy of the book because he was a chopper medic during the war and it was always exciting to hear stories about his time after reading the book. I was an English major so I have read enough books to last me a lifetime, I don’t enjoy reading anymore.

  10. If you could start a charity, what would it be for?

Improved education for special needs children. I did a lot of volunteer work with special needs children growing up and most of the time their after school care was more enriching than their actual school time.

  11. What do you want to be when you grow up?

An airline pilot. I flew a lot as a kid and always thought it would be a cool job to visit many places. My family has a long history of flying and I grew up playing with flight simulators.

  12. What type of pets do you have and what are their names?

I do not currently have any pets but I had a pet pig named T-Bone growing up and a yellow lab named Wizard.

  13. What is your perfect breakfast?

A Dutch Baby pancake with some lemon and powdered sugar and a glass of apple juice.

  14. When you visit the Zoo, which animal do you make sure you see?

The red pandas, because they are the best animal.

  15. What does your perfect burger have on it?

Baked/Fried chicken. I don’t eat red meat but if it has chicken on it and no onions I’ll be happy.
