I. CALL TO ORDER

A.S. Vice President of University Affairs, Nadia Gallarzo called the meeting at 3:34 p.m.

III. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA

It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda April 15, 2026.

15 people made public comment regarding the Resolution on Palestine (#UCB S26-03).

V. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION

 #UCB S26-03 – Resolution on Palestine (Information – 2nd Reading)
Nadia reviewed #UCB S26-02.

  1. Members reviewed and proposed amendments to specific clauses: It was moved and seconded to include the following before Line 18 to note that   A.S. passed a Gaza ceasefire resolution in April 2024 and has previously expressed support for a Gaza ceasefire:
    “WHEREAS, A.S. SDSU passed #UCB S24-01 Resolution in Support of Gaza Ceasefire in 2024; and”

2. It was moved and seconded to amend Line 93 to Replace the word "entirely" with the following language: "And this resolution further condemns antisemitism in all forms."

3. It was moved and seconded to amend Lines 89-90 to the following language:
“A.S. ensures procedural updates be made to uphold their mission, values, and commitment to students” and striking “..and SDSU publicly acknowledge their historic complicity in student censorship and platforming of hate speech.”

4. Additional language discussed around training language added to line 89. Item tabled due to time. Discussion to resume at the next meeting. The draft will be brought back to college councils for feedback. Suggested edits will be presented at the next special meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 22.
