I. CALL TO ORDER

Chief Justice Scarlett Walker called the meeting to order at 8:08 a.m.

II. ROLL CALL

  3. Non-Voting Members Present: Janice Dils
  4. Non-Voting Members Absent:  Vice President of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity Designee.
  5. Guests Present: None.

III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA

It was moved and seconded to approve today’s agenda.

It was moved and seconded to approve the previous minutes.

VII. MEMBER REPORTS:

  1. JAC Role Updates
  2. Requirements - The first requirement deadline is tomorrow.
  3. Elections - Elections Committee did not have quorum at yesterday’s meeting. There will be a special Elections Committee meeting on Friday to address an election complaint.
  4. Awards - The Awards Committee discussed food, decor, and entertainment at the last meeting. The applications for nominations are currently open and due on 3/16.
  5. Buddy Updates - None.
  6. University Senate Committee Update

1. Scarlett: Student Grievance Committee was last week. She was not able to attend.
 

VIII. INFORMATION

  1. Attendance - Frances reviewed the attendance. CLC and UC absent members will be contacted.
  2. Individualized Substitution Plan (ISP)
    No ISP’s to review.

IX. ACTION

  1. Elections Committee Minutes - None.
  2. Awards Committee Minutes
    It was moved and seconded to approve the Awards Committee minutes of 2/18.

X. Appointments and Resignations

  1. It was moved and seconded to approve the appointments and resignations memo for February 19, as attached.

It was moved and seconded to approve Alexandra McMurray (UC) REAF for missing UC 2/18.

 XI. ADVISOR REPORTS

  1. Vice President of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity Designee: No report.
  2. Executive Director Designee: Reminder that A.S. Study Abroad Scholarship review process will be beginning soon and is a requirement of A.S. Council Members. Sam expressed appreciation to JAC and also may reach out to them for assistance in following up with students who do not submit their recommendations in a timely manner.
