Chief Justice Shaye Phung called the meeting to order at 8:01 a.m.

It was moved and seconded to approve today’s agenda.

VI. CHAIR’S REPORT:

Chief Justice Shaye Phung reported on the following:

1. Hope everyone is doing well and taking care of themselves. Please do something kind for yourself!
2. A.S. Vacancy Ad-Hoc Committee Update: The Vacancy Ad Hoc Committee is meeting tomorrow evening to select two Justices.  

VII. MEMBERS REPORTS

1. JAC Role Updates
   1. Requirements - Sagel reported that she created a spreadsheet to keep track of responses as Council members complete their requirements.
2. Buddy Updates
   1. Grace - Reached out to Noah Stuart to complete an ISP for missing the first 20 minutes of UC due to a class.
   2. Shaye - Reached out to Nora Novak to complete an ISP for missing UC due to a class. Will send out a resource bank to the Justices to send to their buddies to include all the tabling opportunities, RSO information, and cultural events.
3. University Senate Committee Update - None.

VIII. INFORMATION

1. Shared Governance Presentation - Janice Dils
   Janice gave a presentation on the University Senate Committees and the importance of Shared Governance. The Justices had an opportunity to complete the sign up form if they are interested in sitting on a committee.l
2. Attendance - Shaye reviewed the attendance.
3. Individualized Substitution Plans (ISPs)
   Nora and Noah completed the ISP form.

   1. It was moved and seconded to approve Mohamed’s ISP for being tardy to BOD and UC (20 minutes) due to a class.

X. ADVISOR REPORTS

1. Vice President of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity Designee - Dr. Lee Mintz:
   1. Dr. Mintz spoke of the University Amnesty Policy.
2. Executive Director Designee - Janice Dils:
   
   1. A.S. Study Abroad Scholarship review will be coming up for all Council members to review and recommend students for scholarship funds.
   2. Current vacancies are Engineering (closes today at noon), Campus Life Council Student at Large Representative, and the Undeclared/Unclassified Representative - both due on October 4.
   3. University Leadership Reception is on Wednesday, October 2, from 5-6:30 p.m. at the University House.
