Chief Justice Shaye Phung called the meeting to order at 8 a.m.

VI. CHAIR’S REPORT

University Leaders Reception (10/2, 5 p.m.) - There will be a reception with the student leaders at the University House on Wednesday, October 2, after UC. Please save the date. The invitation will be sent next week.
A.S. Vacancy Ad-Hoc Committee Update - We are looking for a new date and time to fill the Justice and Student Support Commissioner positions. Campus Community Commissioner position closed. There is a new vacancy in the College of Engineering for a representative position.

JAC Role Updates - None.
Buddy Update - The Justices emailed their buddies and an introductory message to introduce themselves. The requirements form
University Senate Committee Update - None.

Attendance - Shaye reviewed the attendance
Individualized Substitution Plans (ISPs)
There was one ISP submitted for Mohamed Erekat, A.S. Board of Director, for coming to BOD and University Council late due to class. Mohamed’s ISP will be voted on at next week’s meeting.

IX. ACTION

Deadline for Requirements
It was moved and seconded to approve November 20, 2024 as the deadline for A.S. Council members to complete their three requirements.
