I. CALL TO ORDER
Chief Justice Shaye Phung called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m.

It was moved and seconded to approve today’s agenda.

VI. CHAIR’S REPORT
Icebreaker - Shaye led an icebreaker to introduce the members and advisors.
Overview and Expectations - Shaye reviewed the JAC overview and expectations in terms of the Justice member responsibilities in terms of approving absences, attendance, roles in JAC committees and requirements.

VIII. INFORMATION
A. JAC Roles/Buddy Assignments
The following are the JAC roles for the academic year. Once the two new Justice are placed, one of the Justices will do requirements with Sagel and the other one will do attendance instead of Shaye:
- Elections Committee - Grace Cho and Annie Scadron
- Awards Committee - Shalena Hollie
- Requirements - Sagel Provancher
- Attendance - Shaye Phung
Shaye reviewed the JAC buddy assignments, as attached.
B. Overview of Parliamentary Procedure
Janice gave a quick overview of parliamentary procedure.
C. Individualized Substitution Plans (ISPs)
Shaye reviewed what an ISP is for any Council members who will be late, leaving early, and/or will not be able to attend an ASBOD, ASCLC, ASUC, or ASJAC meeting due to academic reasons.
D. Deadline for Requirement
The deadline for the three A.S. leader requirements (one hour of tabling, attending an RSO meeting, and attending a cultural event) will be set at next week’s meeting.

X. ANNOUNCEMENTS
- There will be two Rock the Vote events next week - the debate watch party and the District 9 candidate forum.
- The Add/Drop deadline is September 9.
